Yeah afraid so mate. He’s gone downhill since he went into the care home and they were talking about moving him into a nursing home. He’s not been eating or drinking and has been admitted to hospital this afternoon.

 

That's the downside of these homes mate. I always feel people just give up, once they are in them.

 

Yeah seems that way with my dad. The decision to get him into care was a no brainier though as the situation at home had broken down and even the carers coming in couldn’t manage him. But since he went in a few weeks ago his mobility has completely gone, he’s doubly incontinent, needs help eating and drinking etc. His quality of life is basically all gone.

Seems like he’s just resigned to his fate now.
