I read it mate, and that’s exactly the kind of thing I was referring to. Decent people going with the flow, often after being hounded by these ambulance chasers.
Yeah, but when all things are considered, hers is a valid claim. She'd have lost about 3.5k on the value of the car, because of someone else neglect. She got that back by making an accident claim. The insurance should have paid full value on the car, they didn't. This bloke dented a wheel because of his own neglect (partly). Truth is, I said she should go ahead with it, and I am genuinely dead against it 95% (ish!) of the time.
i read it and yeah id do the same...i never blame anyone who gets one over on white collar criminals...pit the white collars against eacah other...****s The only reason i wouldnt do it is because im too lazy to be dealing with the phone calls, paperwork etc.
If I'd been shafted by the insurance company and was looking at taking a £3.5k hit, then I'd probably pursue a claim against the person who'd written my car off. I think that's reasonable enough. It's the ****ing chancers that make my piss boil who try and milk a situation simply to try and rinse some cash.
I never said it was wrong mate. She’s ended up being no better off than she would have been before the accident that wasn’t her fault, so it’s karma. It’s just a good example of what happens with the ambulance chasers.
Many years back I was in the outisde lane of a three lane motorway, the traffic in front of me had come to a stop. I kept my distance as i knew i was the last in the queue - when a woman driver comes down the centre lane at speed, realised the traffic is at halt, so changes in to my lane and tail ends me. I'm just looking in the rear view mirror, bracing myself for impact. Anyway to cut a long story short, some months later i get cold called by a claims company, fook knows how they got my details and mobile number, but they clearly knew some details about the accident, i told them to fook off. Yeah i could easily have made a claim, but the matter was dealt with, but must admit it was tempting to go along with the shysters at the thouught of ££££ signs.
A few years ago I left my car parked across the road. Neighbour reverses out of her drive and without looking properly backed into the front of my car. There wasn't much damage, we went through the insurance and it was all very amicable. For a good couple of years I had different ambulance chasers calling me and I had to keep telling them my car was parked, I wasn't in it at the time, and I have no intention of fcking over my neighbour. But having to repeat myself over and over again with a long winded explanation was annoying. Separate incident, someone shunted me. All sorted through insurance. The ambulance chasers calls started again. This time I learned my lesson, I simply denied it. "You had an accident recently" "No" "We have details you had an accident" "Sorry not had any accident." Short conversation. I got 2 calls and then it stopped
