I said it before and I'll say it again: nothing sums up the Tories better than their rush to make sure the first deals signed were with the noted tax boltholes Switzerland and Liechtenstein
Special Twitter day for me.... My first received Blocking It appears I upset the well-respected, erudite @danielhannan although I cannot for the life of me think why.....
This would seem to kill off all Government outpourings of outrage and surprise 'Oi, Bercow - where did that come from'? They should maybe pay better attention in class.....
Yip, one had the Chris Bryant Amendment as well which was withdrawn because it 'wasn't necessary'. If that was not making it obvious that the speaker was going to intervene, then a visit to Specsavers is necessary.
Meanwhile, in the section of Parliament headed rapidly towards a political black hole, Ian Austin is having one hell of a whinge that he's not allowed to be on the Foreign Office committee because he voluntarily left Labour which he's mainly expressing by making increasingly batshit comments about Jeremy Corbyn - which, of course, has led to Joan Ryan and Mike Gapes joining in with her equally batshit comments about Corbyn and saying what an outrage it is that people who are not in the Labour party are not allowed to be part of Labour committee meetings I'm sure this has nothing to do with Survation giving Labour a four-point lead the other day...
Internal Labour Party hari kiri notwithstanding, not sure that Survation should be considered the most impartial of Polling companies...... #UKIPFUNDED https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...ces-scrutiny-over-secret-political-operations
Let’s just say I questioned the authenticity of his History qualification..... Childish I know - but judging by the trending hashtag #HannanIrishHistory looks like I was ahead of the game
Nothing demonstrates how fast The Independent Group Ltd fell from relevance like LotS forgetting that Joan Ryan or Mike Gapes make up 18% of The Independent Group Ltd's MPs, let alone Ian Austin quitting Labour only to find nobody was interested in taking him on
What does that have to do with Survations impartiality in the political arena? Edit: for reference I wasn’t picking a spat re Labour/TIG so CHILL brother
Survation are the only pollsters who predicted the result of the last GE while YouGov et al were assuming a Tory landslide, so it's no surprise that when a Survation poll indicates a Labour lead we get Austin and Ryan throwing their toys out of the pram - difference being that now they're exposing themselves as spoiled children throwing a hissy fit, because when the basis of their rant is how it;s not fair that somebody who left the Labour party can't sit in Labour committee meetings they sound completely divorced from reality
Lunacy in Britain and in America. But nice and quiet in Russia. Is Vlady silently stirring things up while he gets up to mischief?
He's probably sitting back to see if the backlash from Yaroslav Rakitskiy signing for Zenit is reason enough to fire up the tanks and help themselves to another chunk of the Ukraine
Think of Trump.Biggest crook since Capone and he finishes up President of the United Mess. So,cheats do prosper.....as all banks except Deutshe have found out to their cost....don't lend money to Trump. He doesn't pay it back. His lawyers see to that!
Deutsche knew that he was bullshitting and still gave him tons of cash anyway. There's a reason for it and it's not that they expected him to pay them back financially.
Seems like I might have been a bit too close to the truth for @danielhannan.... Fair to say he's really not taking the attention very well.
Thank heavens we can rely on Sky and Kay Burley for knowledgeable political journalism...... and a novel use of the term 'mansplaining'....
If anyone is interested in catching a balanced, candid, intelligent discussion on the B word, then listen to the LBC interview between James O'Brien and ex-Vote Leave blogger Oliver Norgrove. Its very revealing....
