Unless you know the true annual costs of "fixing" X, there will be
many X that are not going to be fixed as a result of the new budget
    surplus.

And if you dont fix X for 20 or 30 years, you end up having to build a new fekking X

In Chris Grayling's speech at last year's Tory conference (which he was seven minutes late for...) every place he stated would be getting road infrastructure improvements was in a safe Tory constituency

How stupid is that? If you're going to make road improvements a big part of your speech, don't make the places where putting a Tory rosette on a bucket would get a 20,000+ majority the priority - aim for the marginals, for example Amber Rudd's constituency where she has a majority of 346, and since Anna Soubry had a majority of 863 before buggering off that's another place to fix the roads as she's likely going to split the vote come election time

He has his uses - mainly his ****ups distracting attention from what his colleagues are getting away with, which becomes more apparent when you see the convenient timing of his ****ups being reported

    From the BBC
'This weekend, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte compared UK Prime Minister Theresa May to the Monty Python knight whose limbs get cut off in a duel, but insists to his opponent that the fight was a draw.'<laugh><laugh><laugh>

Makes a lot of (non) sense. Britain gives the EU X amount of money and the EU basically gives it back for ? Now for the next game of snakes and ladders.

After doing a U turn and promising to support the PM's Withdrawal Agreement. If that's the price of one vote it should only cost the PM about 2 Billion to get her deal through providing the DUP don't play hardball.

Unfortunately, there are ways around it, short Bill or Temporary cessation of parliament but failing that, all of this **** will be done on the 29th, either revoke A50 or Clean Brexit, both of which are better than the toxic clusterf*ck of a deal that our glorious government managed to have forced upon them.

Yep, plenty of ancient/esoteric parliamentary laws/procedures
that are going to get an airing now that the countdown is almost
    in single digits.

I hope Bercow is ready to be the potential lightning rod for
the Remoaner storm if the UK now exits by default. :)

The prime minister's official spokesman said Mr Bercow "did not warn us of the contents of the statement or indeed the fact that he was making one".

That's funny, as I knew he was going to do it. The Telegraph, Independent, BBC and Guardian all speculated on it on Thursday, FFS. <doh>

It was obvious because of the banter between Chris Bryant and Bercow when Bryant withdrew his amendment to do the same. 'It's unnecessary now, pointless' and they both chuckled. I knew what was coming.
