no one is going to put a fortune into Hull or buy a club with no ground when there are many more attractive propositions with larger fan bases elsewhere I'm afraid. Wolverhampton Wanderers, with a larger fanbase and more history in a one club city the same size as Hull, and owning a stadium which held more than the KC, went for £45 million. Yet the Allams want £50 million, and expected even more back then. Unbelievably out of touch.
The point is the club isn't for sale is it. My car and house are for sale and I want £1,000,000 for them. Like the sale of Hull City by the Allams it aint ever going to happen.
They'll sell Bowen, drop the selling price to c£35m, and that'll still be over the top given that authoritative people realistically put City's value next season at c£25m max, dropping to c£15m had the club being relegated to Div 1. As in all businesses you have to invest if you want to increase shareholder value and potentially prosper, all the Allams want to do is get their money out at any cost! Such a contradiction to the year when we were first promoted to The Premier League when the club reported a loss of c£8m in making that happen. Now they don't want to lose 8p!!!!
Hopefully now the parachute payments have dried up they'll have no reason to stick around. They'll sell Bowen and a few others and sell the club for cheap.
Damn. New activity on here. Thought there might be some news. Re. the selling price. Don't think it's a case of them being out of touch. It's not their valuation of what the clubs worth. It's just their warped thinking that the club still owes them £50 million (along with their warped thinking that they haven't taken a penny). Good job it was a gift, otherwise who knows how much more they would be demanding!
But they are owed the outstanding debt. The fact it is owed to Allamhouse and not a third party doesn't alter that. Player sales may stave off the bank of papa writing more cheques, but until the debt is cleared they are here until a purchaser pays the full asking price. Highly unlikely.
