  1. Mate you're missing the point! You made the point that they've still got Sessegnon after the fact came about that Gyan was gone.

I'm saying that Sessegnon will not make up for lack of quality up front.

Sessegnon is a class player, but if i was a Sunderland fan i wouldn't be confident that Sessegnon could make up for the lack of a striker, the same way i wouldn't say "hey, we may lack a quality striker, but at least we have Ben Arfa".

Even though Ben Arfa is an awesome player, i wouldn't rely on him to score 12+ goals in a season to fill in for a empty striker slot.

Both us and Sunderland are short of a striker, and our quality attacking mids don't make up for it. They could score a decent amount and create a lot but i don't see either of them hitting double figures this season.

Ahh if he hurt his legs I can understand. His career is quickly declining. Couldn't of happened to a nicer bloke.. <whistle>

Yeah I realise the attacking mids don't make up for it. Which is why I went back to the point of Gyan not being a loss because he wouldn't be putting chances away either. Sunderland could play Gyan, Bendtner or a youngster up front, the percentage of chances that hit the back of the net would be similar no matter who it is.

Bendtner was in a car crash and Wenger said he hasnt been the same player since. RRF was assuming Wenger meant it was a psychological issue since the crash when actually apparently it turns out he did his legs in.

edit - what the hell i replied before your edit but it mysteriously emerged after i clicked submit. weird!
