A magical FA Cup fixture played at a very odd time on a Saturday. Venue: Molineux Stadium, which should make things simple and that includes the price. Time: 7.55pm kick off. Corrie doesn't feature on a Saturday so that's a relief and, let's be honest, Saturday TV is **** unless you like singing and dancing competitions. I have to deal with enough of that **** with my daughter. Viewing: It must be on TV, United are always on TV in the FA Cup and why the **** else would it be scheduled for such a weird kick off time? Team news: Lukaku has lost 6 kilos on The Jane Plan. Random fact: The Wolves manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, was named after a line from the Fast Show's Scorchio weather report. please log in to view this image vs please log in to view this image
I've got to endure Swansea being bummed ragged by Man City in the two hours leading up to this. All fitted in neatly round Wales going for the grand slam, some of which I'll miss as I don't have a Tardis to take me to the game, which I won't be able to have a beer watching. Hopefully will get home in time to settle down and watch our relentless onslaught to winning the only cup that counts.
Best team won .. tired slow midfield compared to fast energetic one we had in Paris but worst, we never made their defenders ask a QS ..we try to attack them from flanks and never crossed or passed quick ball in box to terrify them and make them make a mistake .. no.. they parked the bus and every time we face a wall we pass ball around or try to dribble .. so predictable
It's a shame there's an international break. We've lost a couple of games and would've liked to see how the team will respond to it under Ole. All of this imo is about setting ourselves up for next season.
Was a trophy we could have won and kicked on from though. Fred should have kept his position ahead of Matic for a start and he rushed three other players back from injury which wasn't really necessary. At least we now have the two fold focus of getting back into next season's CL. Got to say though, if we can't get past Wolves we won't get past Barca so best bet there will he top 4.
Personally I wold prefer that we keep a top four spot as our main focus for this season. As nice as the FA Cup is, I wouldn't want to progress at the cost of more serious injuries or players taking their eye off the real prize. Never good to go out but hopefully we can use the International break to get some injuries healed and give a rest to the squad.
Yeh same mistakes as the Arsenal game, rushing players back when existing ones were doing well. We should've played better against Wolves, they're a decent side with a very good manager. I didn't see the match but seems we underestimated them.
They out United us, sat back and picked us off on counters. They were more than worthy of the win, no argument. Pogba had one of his infuriating invisible days and Matic lumbered around like an oil tanker. Was pretty crap all around to be perfectly honest.
They’re more than decent. They’ve got some cracking players and play good football. The beardy guy has done a top job.
Good result today in the league. If we get ourselves back on track, I can see 3rd and 4th being United and Arsenal.
