This <ok> If I were a Sunderland fan, id be very worried today. Playing Chelsea, and lost your best striker. Its going to knock confidence, and Bruce has got alot to do now in order to boost the morale in that dressing room.

I think Bendtner is an overrated arrogant tosspot, and Sunderland may have made a mistake in signing him. Bruce managed to get the best out of him for Birmingham, but I cant see him doing the same now. Ji, well I dont know an awful lot about him, so it would be unfair to comment. Sunderland are gonna have to relay on Wickham and Sessegnon now.

1 of them is a midfielder, and the other is a kid with no experience, and didnt exactly set the Championship alight.

Could be worrying times ahead for our neighbours.

Just to clear up, Tash made up the stat about his record being worse than Sholas... Ameobis is worse.

  6. Sessegnon has played more games in the PL, but Ben Arfa has played in the CL with Marsielles and tore **** up against the likes of Milan and Liverpool. Sessegnon is a good player, but i'm pretty sure his goals/game ratio isn't that great. 15 games, 3 goals and 2 assists.

Supposedly Wenger said that he's not the same player since he had that car accident a couple of years ago, and i'd rather trust Wenger's opinion of players rather then Bendtner's

But he might still create things for other players even if he isn't given the assist directly. I still think Gyan has played poorly this season whenever i've seen him. It's like when Loven plays for us and we say we'd rather give a youngster a chance, that's the sort of performance Gyan has been putting in.

You were wrong to insult Shola like that! I hear he takes pride for having the worst goals to games ratio in Premiership history for any striker to have played over 150 games... even has a hat for it.

It's a good job that he's rarely played at International level then...

I've been in a crash. Not a massive one mind, just a bit of whiplash, but I've not gone into college the next day and thought to myself "**** this..I give in" Makes no sense..

  14. Yes, but we were talking about Sunderland without Gyan, and you said they still have Sessegnon, and i'm saying his goals/games ratio and overall quality don't make up for the absence of a quality striker. He'll be supporting Bendtner, and two unproven strikers. Not the greatest front line to be supporting, so even though he could create loads, i doubt that chances will be put away frequently enough.

Be honest... who saw this one coming?
I thought he was off to Turkey, not the UAE! Is Sunderland really that bad a place? <laugh>

Reminds one of the great Afonso Alves.

But Gyan wouldn't have been putting chances away frequently either, they are no worse off other than strength in depth.

Best thing about Alves was he scored 6 in 11 that first half season... then got 4 over the whole of the next season <laugh>

And since then he has flopped in Qatar!
