I live in Lexington,Ky. I also went from Wood Green to Kings Cross to collect train numbers....and spent half my very young age in the traffic area at Lordship Lane Rec.I bet not many can remember that now.Probably long gone...like our puffers!
Now I'm getting ready to go to Baptist Hospital to habe my bloodchecked. It was very thin 2 weeks ago. Ta rah!
I assume Ky is Kentucky? I'm hoping it is not a jelly thing.

Interesting interview. Rare to see him saying more than a couple of words and he's still very soft spoken.
I wonder if he's planning on getting into coaching, as he clearly seems to be missing the game?
Maybe he could pair up with Ryan Mason?

His comments about the Chelsea game rung true for me. Funny how it's looked back on by everyone else.

I used to take my own kids to the traffic area in L Lane Rec late '60's & early '70's, they loved it. No idea whats happened to it now but it was an excellent facility for youngsters. Hope your blood tests went well Smithy, take care...

By the way,I have a lot of friends from Kosovo living in Lexington. Several have become Spurs fans (what have I done?) There is another Shamrock Pub in Lexington where Spurs fans gather to watch our team on match days.

I remember his first home game. I was fawning just watching his touches in the kick around. The next game saw Jim Iley replace him.Good player Iley but couldn't lace Dave's boots......and the rest was history!
I was distraught when he left for Derby, I wondered why? Then he led them to the title, I was gutted, he was a winner.

IIRC for similar reasons why Dembele was sold in January, as his body was starting to break down - although the fact he was able to reinvent himself as a sweeper means that perhaps we were too hasty to move him on

Of course, the Lunatic Fringe of the day were no doubt sending telegrams reading "BillNickOut" to one another...

I was thinking more around the verbal bollocking he would give teammates when they wimped out of tackles etc. But he'd probably get carded for that too.... <laugh>
As would Ginola in the clip above for taking his shirt off after scoring that wonder goal. Oh what players we have seen over the years.
