Naby Sarr “rested” today.

A very big call given that he has consistently been our best defender & player since Xmas.

Smacks of complacency to me - Bowyer needs the win today now.

 

Don't like the look of this team. I don't have a good feeling about this game.

 

Looks a stuffy team, should be ok defensively. Hope we don't lose an early goal though.

If that is so then Naby will be back next game.

Even if Charlton lose today they will still be a minimum of 9 points above 7th place.
I guess Bowyer considers that to be enough of a safety margin to begin resting players.

He isn't willing to go all-out on a last push at an unlikely automatic spot, or even an 'upper' play-off place (4th or 3rd) at this stage.
The cautious, bet-hedging side of his nature is coming to the fore again.
