If I were to truly scrabble for positives, at least that weakens Sheffield Utd for their crunch game with Leeds. As it stands, we want a draw or Leeds win to increase the gap to 3rd.
Good point. I forgot about the suspension for Madine. For this week I want us to win both games and SHU to lose both. Brentford looked more like scoring vs XI than X, though.
I did look in a while ago to offer moral support. As you will know, Leeds have a reputation to uphold for exemplary sportsmanship. Now I keep getting tagged with replies to this thread.
From the Sky Leeds vs Sheff Utd preview: This is a huge game in the battle for promotion. It is the last time any of the top three will meet each other this season so it's also the last time for any of them to directly impact upon each other's results. Both of these sides got big wins in midweek and confidence will be high in each camp. The reverse fixture earlier in the season was decided by a mistake and I expect this to be another tight game. Blimey! What a half! First 35-40 minutes, Leeds controlled and could have grabbed a couple. Last 5-10 minutes Sheff U were so unlucky to not score. They could have had 2 or 3 in that spell. Perfect for us. Mentally and physically tense, high tempo game. 0-0 at HT.
I think you look the better team. Just. Sheffield seem really panicked when getting the ball away. You are just relentlessly hounding them down.
