Real shame Matthews can’t stay fit. For balance, and for the fact he’s decent when he’s played a few games together.

"From the first game of the season against Charlton Athletic to Bradford City on Boxing Day, you have helped turn the Stadium of Light into a fortress once again.
"We remain unbeaten on home turf in the league and as we enter the business end of the campaign, you will continue to play a massive part.

Time to put real pressure on those around us, two similar chances have been missed this season, I have a feeling this won't be the third. A good home win beckons. <ok>

More nervous than I’ve been fir a long time. I understand the confidence. But, even as an eternal optimist, I am trying not to be too confident about it. Worried about the fact that this is the 4th time we’ve played them and we still haven’t won.

could have been 10 points behind Barnsley today ! but 5 is excellent down to 2 hopefully and a game in hand, 18 days before the next game though.

Walsall have been a tough gnat to swat but, today when we both need it the most - we will get them. I wouldn't mind having 2 leagues between us and them at season's end.

I'd have preferred to see Hume at LB and Matthews at RB to give us a bit of a better balance personally.

Happy with the midfield though with Morgan and McGeady causing havoc.

    3-1 to the lads.

I thought they were very skilled. A smaller version of us - w/o McGeady.

    FREE KICK
Quickly taken by Leadbitter in an effort to catch the Walsall defence off guard there's a scramble inside the box, the ball crosses the line courtesy of Grigg, but the referee scratches it off as Baldwin was deemed to have fouled the keeper during the melee.
