Now looks like the Bolton thing just took a turn for the worst. Basran (Consortium) have walked away which leaves the club in the crap and will go into administration next week unless Peter Kenyon's group does the deal instead, but would be a big risk knowing that Basran had seen the books and Kenyon hasn't. Suspect that one of these groups will wait until Bolton goes into administration and picks the club up cheap without any debts.... relegation then guaranteed though
Is it a cruel streak in me that has no sympathy for clubs going wallop. Wasnt too many willing to give us a dig out in our time of need. If I remember correctly, a lot of them were quite pleased at our points deduction at the time. Of course its the few Bolton fans thatll suffer. Old owners or directors will have lined their pockets and players will eventually get paid
Why do they always put the horses down when they break a leg. Why can't they be put out out to pasture / retire?
Think it depends on the nature of the break... and cynically perhaps their value at stud. Recall mill reef getting pieced back together again many years ago... for a life of hardship ploughing his seed.
Been told off,he said not bothered about having an account anymore,it's not the same thing, ouch slapped wrists.
