Speaking of idiotic buys...

    Andy Carroll. £35,000,000.

    <ok>

Probably a worse signing, as De Gea has a long time to try and succeed at Man Utd, whilst Carroll needs to make an impact soon or else he'll be gone.

You sir, have the dodging abilities of a politician. Answer the question put to you. Is your goalkeeper a lightweight streak of piss that will be clattered by each and every premiership team, and the only hope you have is to get drunken tramp to devote his press conferences to begging refs to offer the weed far more protection than any other goalkeeper in the land? Go back 10 years, if the opposition goalkeeper was a weedy as this lad, what would you expect Mark Hughes to have done? and you would have laughed and jeered every time sparky planted the guy in the pitch, and don't lie and try and deny it. Your double standards are laughable.

Anderson £26 million, thats including the add-ons. He's got terrific ability....the ability to pass the ball...to the opposition.

Lets face it, most Utd fans expected De Gea to hit the ground running. This couldn't be further from the truth and it seems his physical stature is not good enough for the EPL and needs some work. But if the same thing happened to Liverpool then the Utd fans would be the first to take the piss. I do think De Gea will come good but I don't think it will be as soon as this season...

    Get recent.

    Henderson for £20 million <laugh>

Man Utd's worse signing is De Gea, but potential costs these days.

EDIT - Henderson has no potential in the top 4 team imo.

Did you even see Uniteds last goalkeeper? He wasn't meaty by any stretch of the imagination. Again, you're an astoundingly bad wum.

When you have Drunken tramp trying to sway the refs, I think there is every need for this article. Everyone at the other end of the east lancs think that this man is a footballing genius. This is not footballing genius, this is politics, and trying to get different treatment for Man u, than for anyone else. This is the evil face of drunken tramps double standards, and I feel I have the righteous fiery wind of God's angels behind me to point this sickening behaviour out to anyone in the world that will listen. and the fact that every last manc reply has consisted of personal insults and totally avoids the facts proves my undeniable righteousness in this matter.

I AM GOD'S VOICE, AND GOD SAYS THAT FERGIE IS A DOUBLE STANDARDS DEALING JOKE, SO IS THE WORD OF GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why does De Gea have a long time, and Carroll not? I knew your fat old manager liked to suck up to fergie, didn't know all you fans had the same urge?

Henderson has been the player Anderson wished he could have been a couple of years ago at that age. de Gay will cost Utd games if he doesn't improve quickly.

    In terms of deals:

    Henderson>Anderson>de Gea

Fergie wants a free kick every time De Gea is challenged. He's a flapper and Fergie knows it hence the mind games with refs. I reckon he's also told De Gea to make the absolute most of any contact, it wouldn't be hte first time Fergie told players to go down

But with UTD superior fire power, they will score more than they concede.

The more chances he gets the better as far as we're all concerned <ok> the fact that he's 20 yrs old is irrelevant...the fact that he looks like a 14 year old up against men is what I'd be worried about. If he's still between the Mold Trafford sticks come the end of the season it'll be a miracle of biblical proportions.

Carroll has to hit the ground running but De Gea doesn't? So the player Utd sign for one specific position where their only cover has no prem experience has time, but someone who has 3 international strikers who can play in the same position as him doesn't? Get real.

Not sure this debate is worth continuing when some muppets eat up red top drivel like it's going out of fashion. Henderson wasn't £20mil. Andy Carroll doesn't have a drinking problem. De Gea has had a shaky start and doesn't even come with a strong pedigree. Andy Carroll scored the same number of league goals as Hernandez (the best striker in the history of the universe apparently) and was injured for almost the entire end of season run-in. Carroll's fee was determined by how much we received for Torres...

    That covers a decent amount.

Anderson was not £26million, the deal was a total of €30 million and back then that was roughly £20 million. You may have a new name, but it's the same old "facts", and lets not forget, he was a pretty big part of a squad that won 3 premier league titles and the champions league so who are you to ridicule his value?
