A woman has been found guilty of murdering her three-year-old daughter by drowning her in the bath, following the breakdown of her marriage.

Claire Colebourn woke her daughter Bethan in the early hours of 19 October 2017 at their home in Fordingbridge, Hampshire, and led her to the bath before holding her under the water until she drowned.


Colebourn, 36, then made multiple suicide attempts and was later found in a diabetic coma by her mother.

Glad she survived, hope she's haunted by it every second of her life.

She must have been in a helluva mess.

I'm exactly the same when I read it.

 

It's like you run scenarios through your head, and non make any sense.

The mother really must have hit rock bottom, and probably a drink, or drugs, or both, and thought this was her only option.

Yes i agree, but this doesn't seem to be a straightforward murder.

This seem to have so many aspects to it, maybe money, depression, rejection,. i don't know

There was a bloke a few weeks ago who arranged for an acid attack on his own 3 year old son.

Agreed .she must have hit rock bottom .all the more reason to lock her up. Who knows what she will do next time she goes mental

 

I don't know much about it mate. I don't really want to read the story either, it just sounds horrendous. She was obviously suffering from some severe mental health problems though, she'll get locked up on a secure ward and stay there for years now. Probably the best place for her.

 

She probably had a happy family life, hubby left, debts etc..then it became to much...**** knows i'm over thinking this.

 

My mistake, yeh that must've been it. In this instance an eye for an eye wouldn't be a bad idea.

 

There's many on here who don't agree with that man.

The courts can sort it out, or so they say.
