The one where he was twisting and turning and about to get a shot away? Looked to me like the defender just nicked the ball as he went to strike it... Salah didn’t even appeal for it
The defender that slid in pulled salah to the side which a) slowed him down and b) allowed the defender approaching from behind a clear path to the ball I think macca said it was a pen but it got glossed over really quickly But to me it was cast iron Had we lost i think a lot more would have been said
yeah but we didn't get the result with the chosen three coz we lost Horrenderson very early. So was the right tactic the midfield with Fabinho in?
Of course it was. Everyone at the Grange groaned when they heard the starting midfield. Just the wrong mix. No creativity.
Did the swap make that much difference? I know the Hendo-haters will routinely say it did - but looked at objectively I'm not sure.
I would rather Fabinho start but I don't think it would have mattered and we would have had the same result with Hendo in. Well never know I suppose.
We controlled large parts of that game - that comes from Fabinho IMO. He was practically playing by himself because the other two weren’t great. As I say, it’s really not a coincidence that we won away from home in the CL when we had Fabinho as the 6. Look at the last 5 CL away games when Hendo Milner and Gini started and not only have we lost them all, we’ve been outclassed . And the whole ‘this midfield got us to the final’ needs to go in the bin once and for all. They didn't play in the group stages, they didn't play either game against City. They played Porto away and the semi final after Ox got injured when there were no other fit midfielders. They played away leg of semi final and the final itself.
need really to hope TAA & Robbo stay fit though as the squad is really looking stretched. considering how **** nearly all our players its a miracle we ever win at all .
oh it's deffo your problem. I have no problem with reasoned criticism when deserved but you just blame the same people constantly whilst absolving your favourites of any blame however badly they play.
