Watford Team News Javi Gracia faces the biggest selection call of his reign as Head Coach when he has to choose the squad to take on Crystal Palace in the FA Cup quarter-final at Vicarage Road. Gracia reports yet again he has a fully-fit squad to choose from, as Miguel Britos has recovered from the slight problem he picked up late on at the Etihad Stadium, and he now has to decide which eight players to leave out of the last-eight clash and then the XI to start the game. “It is difficult as I have all the squad ready and fit,” said Gracia. “I have to decide and suffer, and it is not easy to take these decisions. It’s my job. I always decide thinking what is the best for the team. We have lots of options and all of them are high-quality players.” please log in to view this image Who Gracia plays in goal will be his biggest decision. Foster has been arguably the Player of the Season and produced one of the displays of the campaign at Brighton, but Gomes has not conceded a goal in this season's competition and was superb amid an aerial assault against Queens Park Rangers in the last round. Got to win this, need to win the cup. That'd be great wouldn't it!! At least a semi at wembley (see it is getting me excited already!) Got to go for best 11, no mucking around now. All the clues were there from the Citehhh line up. COYHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Almost a shame its not at Selhurst as they seem pretty hopeless there but got to take advantage of a home tie. Probably play our strongest team and hopefully keep Zaha quiet. VAR is in place so expect a delay or two!
I like the way they feel we kicked him out of the games when he scored at the Vic and at Selhurst could have netted 2 more but for Foster so clearly our "hacking" of him isn't so effective! Zaha never seems to be injured or taken off so can only presume he doesn't suffer from these rough tactics or just very lucky.
unless i am mistaken Zaha is not in the Palarse squad!! https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...uare-fit-for-eagles-for-fa-cup-quarter-final/
Must be a mistake. I want to be laughing whilst watching him be yellow carded after a VAR intervention shows he dived. Btw, have you heard CP supporters have thousands of yellow cards to wave each time we tackle Zaha!? They have gone way over the top and are very pumped up looking at twitter & the forums. I hope it doesn't get out of hand when they lose. I'm very excited, can't wait. 3-0
As ESPN+ now has the US rights to the FA Cup, the games are no longer shown on TV. So it's and early start to hunt a stream down. I am going for a 3-1 win. COYH.
If he did just get one of our players to give it a little bump! Not in a dangerous serious way of course...
His diving techniques have been taught to other players. Don’t believe for a second Hodgson would facilitate or want this, but Zaha is not the only one. Expect to see forward-initiated contact between them and our defenders. At least we are in the hands of a sensible refe...
When I was a young kid in the 60s i beleved "My Watford " could beat anyone then once we had GT it was we would beat anyone now i think anyone can beat us is it just the heavy cold i had for a week or just getting old COYH
Good Morning All... Nerves shredded already... not sure about this at all. Far too early for a pint...
Roy from 1881 has issued this rallying cry. Palarse in the Quarter final of the FA Cup. They’ve beaten and hurt us before. We all know that feeling. We’ve been beaten a lot over the years, and this includes by Crystal Palace. Now, we can either choose to walk into the stadium nervous, not wanting that feeling of coming away beaten, or...we can walk into the stadium remembering that feeling of coming away, knowing that it was their fans that pushed them onto victory. Our little football club, nestled in Hertfordshire, is amazing. Collectively we simply never know when we are beaten. For years this football club was an acorn in the middle of the woods. Now, we are one of 20 of the best looking trees in the forest, but it needs help along the way to become a mighty oak tree. This is where our support takes over. We are not merely spectators, we are supporters. Tomorrow, we will show the world what this club means to us in vocal and visual support. Tomorrow, we will help the team win. “Now I can't make you do it. You gotta look at the guy next to you. Look into his eyes. Now I think you are going to see a guy who will go that inch with you. You are going to see a guy who will sacrifice himself for this team because he knows when it comes down to it, you are gonna do the same thing for him. That's a team, ladies and gentlemen. And we either we heal now, as a set of supporters or we will die as individuals. That's football guys. That's all it is. Now, what ya gonna do?”
