BOSS Steve McClaren takes his QPR side to the KC Stadium on Saturday in desperate need of a performance. The R’s chief admitted after Wednesday’s 2-1 defeat against Rotherham United that his side have been poor and a display is much needed. And as QPR head to Humberside, they will need to be much better than their two outings at Loftus Road this week. Hull meanwhile have had an amazing turn around in form this season having struggled at the start of the campaign. A relegation battle looked on the cards until Nigel Adkins guided them to their current mid-table position courtesy of a run that saw them claim 24 points in a 10 match unbeaten streak. With the playoffs still, only six points off City will see the arrival of QPR as a chance to try and close that gap with nine matches remaining.
Thanks Dave. I often forget that we have more games to play. Or at least put 11 people on a bit of grass and ask them to pretend to be footballers for an hour and a half.
I’ll be there as it’s a new ground for me. However last night my 17 yo son asked me why are we going on Saturday. My only answer was “because I have no refund train tickets.” Maybe we’ll just visit pubs and museums.
I did wonder about not putting up a new match day thread until tomorrow to give people time to get over the last game, but then the gloom lingers, and there isn't the opportunity for that blind hope to take over.
After 40 years of marriage to QPR there have been many downs and one or two ups. QPR are like premature ejaculation - get all excited but then it’s over too quickly. What’s my secret for sticking out the marriage - can’t be bothered to start again and beer.
Jeff will be back Pav will start We will get an honourable draw and move towards safety Next game is 2 weeks time.Luke rested and Angel back 3-0 and we will be safe
I am 99 % certain that I am going to find something else to do. tomorrow. I was numb after the Stoke game and deeply depressed after Wednesday. I want it to stop!
I'm not going near a train tomorrow. We play better against better teams...and in a way better away ( we pretend to be a counter attacking team)... I am using the word "pretend" correctly here. A point would be an absolute triumph Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
Museums......you do know that we're at Hull tomorrow?? Best sticking with the pubs I will also be there tomorrow and also with non refundable train tickets! Not many weekends to go and we will all have a well earned summer break
Wasn't Hull the City Of Culture not so long ago? I always thought the best thing about Hull were the roads out of it...…..
Why? My blind optimism from a few weeks ago has faded. Anyone going to Hull tomorrow to watch QPR play football needs to see a doctor.
