Best tv series I've seen are Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy and Smiley's People both adapted from Le Carre's novels by BBC. Best comedy show/series has to be Fawlty Towers, every one was and still is a classic. Mention in Dispatches to Porridge, Fools and Horses, Black Adder and more recently An Idiot Abroad.
Blackadder Seasons 2-4 (the first season was Mr Bean) Red Dwarf Seasons 1-6 and the Season 7 episode with the Rimmer rollercoaster Only Fools and Horses before it turned into men bad women good Batman The Animated Series Simpsons before it turned into Marge = God Homer = Devil South Park when it wasn't about Trey Parker's obsession with ****
Someone's already mentioned Ashes to Ashes, which was good, but Life On Mars was better. Possibly my all-time fave.
Sopranos The Wire Firefly Fawlty Towers Star Trek Thunderbirds Fox Kung Fu Murder1 Old Grey Whistle Test Mission Impossible The Twilight Zone Outer Limits And too many more to mention.
The borgias is pretty decent so far, strikeback is worth a watch on sky1 and boardwalk empire was amazing, really hope there is a second season!
Thanks Dev, something to look forward to in October now. Yeah game of thrones was brilliant ... I'm still gutted sean bean was killed off tho ... the amount of time they took to do it I was convinced he was going to be saved somehow!
Lovejoy Minder Auf Weidersehen Pet (first 2 series) Tales of the Unexpected Best US show: Twilight Zone
The X-Files is always a classic way to spend a morning seeing as they are re-running it on Sky Atlantic just now as well (dont know how people with Virgin Media get by)
