England call up for Irelands Young Player of the Year

We don't need goalscoring midfielders in the mould of Lampard, Gerard or Scholes though - they wouldn't fit easily with how we play now (maybe one of them in the Alli role as they were all much better than him but hey ho). Dier, Henderson, etc aren't pitching in with many goals they're providing strikers and wide players and the old school attacking midfield role has been reduced meaning that the likes of Barkley, Wilshere, Shelvey just don't have the kinds of roles they would have had a decade or two ago.

 

i hate to break it to you but we have only scored 29 goals this season so we definitely do need some goalscoring midfielders or some new strikers. Thank **** for our defence.
