jaffakop Man Utd's defense was tested in the Arsenal game which resulted in them conceding 2 goals at Old Trafford against them for the first time since 1984. Unfortunately Arsenal's defense was far worse which disguised the fact that Utd's young defense is not all that yet and their goalkeeper still had a mare.
i find it hilarious that this debate rumbles on in it's own silly way. i don't know why people even bother to take this stuff personally.....
http://thekop.liverpoolfc.tv/_2011-12Could-this-be-our-year/blog/4960081/173471.html Just to quote the first little bit " 2011-12 Could this be our year? We have asked the question 20 times or so around this time of year but, dare I suggest it, are we to Believe it this year with the surge of positivity surrounding the Club?" Your supporters words not mine, i,ll let you finish reading the rest fascinating stuff not sure why you all get so touchy about it anyway its natural for fans to want to be optimistic about their clubs chances. However there is a fine line between optimism and delusion so there may lie the reason why most supporters would label the Liverpool supporters the most deluded in the land, maybe thier all wrong and we should rename you the most optimistic supporters in the land Anyways onto the real stuff this weekend and not the dross which is international football
Lard Arse. Picking and choosing. I think you should have a read of the comments below that blog that suggest there is nothing wrong with bit of optimism, however we may need to be realistic. Liverpool fans on THIS forum have never once suggested that 'This is our year''.
Yes what is wrong with some optimism Every team, yes every team has got to have it otherwise what is the point of supporting a football club. COME ON LIVERPOOL
Sorry Wenger has not done great business, not by a long way. Everton saw him coming and thats why they slapped a £10 million price tag on Arteta. They did it when he insulted them with his £8 million Jagielka offer. If he offered £12 million, he would have got him.
At least I hope he wasn't being serious. Have you put your predictions for 'I know the score' mate? Noticed your not far behind me.
This is most definately our year King Kenny wins leagues for fun Come on you Reds (ok this is slightly tongue in cheek but at least it doesn't seem quite as mad a thing to say as at this time last year )
Personally hes was your best central midfielder. Better than Henderson - yes. Better than Adam - yes Better than Gerrard - time will tell, but i personally think Gerrad is injury prone and past it, will have his moments of magic of course though. Better than lucas - hard to say
Firstly considering how many assits and goals players like modric, like inesta, like xavi even get then i wouldnt say its all that bad. especially as i think meiriles will get you more than 4 or 5 assists, more around 7-9 but whatever. Merieles is pretty solid in my opinion, good at passing, right place right time, makes the right decisions. And i wouldnt put Adam ahead of merieles, but im sure you'll disagree.
yeah, if it werent for the email updats id probably forget them every week though good luck with yours
im sure you disagree with me but ill say it anyway... Better than henderson? at the moment, yes, but significantly older adam? i wouldnt say so... meireles doesnt go into tackles, adam has a better passing range, and is brilliant with set pieces Gerrard I would certainly say is better, in almost all aspects of a central midfielder meireleswas better than lucas with his attacking but lucas was much more consistent, and is much much better at the defensive side, but their styles are too different really
