DH - I admire you for having the patience to debate with DGC! He makes me want to put my fist through my computer screen!!
Where we are now with Poch - to be top 3 contenders year after year - is something I have never seen in my lifetime on a consistent basis and I've just turned 40! This short-termist way of looking at things is exactly the reason why we never have had any consistency.
To even contemplate getting rid of Pochettino and Kane is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. I do wonder if DGC is actually Piskie or Ginge having a laugh. It is fairly entertaining although bloody annoying at the same!!
So why is there talk of both of them leaving then crackerman? Real Madrid, Man Utd.

Haha I genuinely find it funny as ****, it's definitely entertaining, that's why I persist. I'm a bit of a dick and a wind up merchant myself on the forum, I just usually don't go up against other Spurs fans!

I don't think it's Piskie or Ginge. I think by now one of them would've claimed "rattled" on the Prem board, besides Piskie especially is way too busy dealing with HIAG to have any spare time to come over here as a sock <laugh>. I think DGC are who they say they are, a couple who I presume take turns posting under the account, although as to whether they truly are Spurs fans... That remains to be seen. If they are, very "out there" views.

If Pochettino were to leave and Benitez replaced him, then I personally would be pretty happy about it.
He speaks the language, knows the league, has won a fair number of trophies and he isn't a massive bellend.
My only reservation would be his slightly conservative approach. He may have to let loose a bit.

I think that others would have a less positive opinion of him, at least partially because it wouldn't be an explosive signing.
I can't really think of anyone realistic that would be, though. Only Benitez and maybe Howe really fit the bill and the latter's more of a risk.
I guess Bielsa would be another, but he's a highly entertaining fruitcake.
So why not Conte? Oh by the way PNP, Dier mocked the possibility of Howe.

Ok DH, what proof would you want?

You sure about that? I think you've gotten me mixed up with another poster, I'm a huge fan of Howe.[/QUOTEI stand corrected, you said Pardew and Warnock didn't you?.

Now as for this not being spurs supporters, i suppose to be Spurs supporters we have to have exactly the same views as you do we?

On the contrary, different views are brilliant and I can even understand if people said Poch out, I wouldn't agree with it but I'd understand it. But suggesting we sell Kane? Sorry, DGC, that's just something a Spurs fan really wouldn't say.

What was it,1971 when Chiv scored 2 goals to beat Villa in the league Cup? Didn't Ralph Coates score the only goal of the match in the same final against Norwich in 73? Wolves in the UEFA Cup final in 72.

I saw Don McAllister who was signed from Bolton by Terry Neill. My first match was 1970 when Peters scored to beat Liverpool 1-0.

In 1971 before I went to Hong Kong Alan Mullery missed a penalty against The Baggies, why he took them I don't know. I was in Newcastle when Alfie Conn scored a hat trick in a 2-5 win. Knowles and Duncan scoring the others. I also saw Hoddle's volley against Forest, 1978 i think to beat them 1-0. I was at White Hart Lane. I've never been to Stamford Bridge.

If Poch's so good why are we known as perennial bottlers and yes, I think so.
Because there is a lot of bullshit spoken in football...we were never ahead of Leicester (unlike Arsenal) yet everyone ignores that and instead called us bottlers.

The following seasonwe won 12 out of our final 13 matches but could not catch chelsea yet 12 wins out of 13 constituted bottling it.

Last season and his season we have not played at home yet have been fighting tooth and nail for top 4 and have made an FA Cup semi final and a league cup semi final and a CL quarter final yet we get called bottlers.

It has nothing to do with us and everything to do with bullshit.

Hope that helps

Late to the party as i been busy working but conte spent 50m net in his first season. A but hardly a fortune
That's a bit misleading though, for two reasons.
The first is that you sold Oscar to China for an overinflated £60m.
The second is that you also sold Salah for £14m! <laugh>

Plays down both the total spent and the damage done.

Thanks DH for making the case for sanity here today.

I am impressed with your persistance I gave up much quicker!

I would just say that I have no issue with DGC or his opinions which like any of us here they are entitled to give and debate here

But personally I do like to deal in facts and this is where we do tend to disagree the facts in the main support Harry being a positive in the team, but this contrary to some opinions.

As for the results since Harry returned we can all agree that these have been disappointing, but to solely blame Harry is just unfair, our poor performances actually started when he got injured.

As for Poch I like him too, but want him to improve, to show that he can learn from his mistakes, right now he deserves our support for where we are and he has sufficient credit in the bank to have the right to be the manager who takes us into the new stadium and on from there onto the next phase in 'the project'
