A greater attacking threat you say?

These are the games we hit three or more goals in this season in the Premier League :
    Fulham (h), Man Utd (a), Wolves (a), Chelsea (h), Saints (h), Everton (a), Bournemouth (h), Cardiff (a), Leicester (h).

Kane played AND SCORED (thought I'd capitalise those as you like doing similar) in everyone of those games with the exception of Leicester. So please, keep trying to persuade us all that Kane not being in the side means we're a greater attacking threat. :)

What did we score when he was out and what have we scored since he came back?

Probably not enough by your usual standards, you seem to expect us to win 5-0 every game.

So you'll agree not enough? Poch was even asked the question about Kane's return and the onset of poor form.

Yep, can't stand the fact he's only bagged 125 goals in 176 league games, does my nut in.

What really annoys me is that all of those goals were scored
only after his team-mates had already put the result of each
    game beyond doubt.

How's that helping us now when our rivals are right behind us. How does the fact that he was golden boot winner the year before last help us now Dier? Have we scored enough goals since his comeback form injury? NO, so why bring his record into this? No doubt you think he's going to start banging two and three in again, well I don't think so, I HOPE so but doubt it.

Well, we're not going to change each others minds so let's drop it ok. A lot of football supporters act like spoilt brats when a favourite player is criticised. Some players are hated so much that they get assaulted during the match. You Dier, you're acting like the former. Someone has an opinion against your favourite player and you get all upset.

Benitez is one of the few modern managers who has done it at the top level, then dropped down and still performed at a skint club.
He also seems to be one of the few coaches around that has integrity and follows through on his promises.
Most would have done a runner when Newcastle were relegated, but he stayed on.
He got them promoted, kept them up and has steadied a very rocky ship with virtually no money.

I think that he's underrated and mocked because he got involved in the Premier League mind games and lost.
He's not that sort of person. He should never have tried to be.

My favourite player at Spurs is Eriksen.

If I’m acting a spoilt brat then I’d hate to think how you’re acting when you’re implying we should sell arguably the best striker in world football and our clubs’ best striker since Jimmy Greaves.

I completely agree with you. I just don't know if Spurs fans would warm to him in the way they have done to Poch. Maybe it's because he's been at the club for 5 years and helped build Spurs to what they are now with comparatively less resources, maybe it's his likeable personality, maybe it's his footballing principles.
But hypothetically speaking, if Poch went, would you be happy if Rafa was the replacement? My guess is there would be quite divisive opinions on him purely because of his stints at Inter/Real, and his 'Facts' rant in 2009 at Liverpool. Rightly or wrongly, his reputation has never fully recovered since then.

If Pochettino were to leave and Benitez replaced him, then I personally would be pretty happy about it.
He speaks the language, knows the league, has won a fair number of trophies and he isn't a massive bellend.
My only reservation would be his slightly conservative approach. He may have to let loose a bit.

I think that others would have a less positive opinion of him, at least partially because it wouldn't be an explosive signing.
I can't really think of anyone realistic that would be, though. Only Benitez and maybe Howe really fit the bill and the latter's more of a risk.
I guess Bielsa would be another, but he's a highly entertaining fruitcake.

It seemed to me,the main reason we lost recent games because our defenders took turns in assisting the opposition score in each game.

Because City have been richer than God for over 10 years, Chelsea for over 15 years, united and Liverpool have bee bigger and richer since the 1970s and Arsenal have been since the 1990s.
It will take time for us to catch up.

That is my take on what he said.

DH - I admire you for having the patience to debate with DGC! He makes me want to put my fist through my computer screen!!
Where we are now with Poch - to be top 3 contenders year after year - is something I have never seen in my lifetime on a consistent basis and I've just turned 40! This short-termist way of looking at things is exactly the reason why we never have had any consistency.
To even contemplate getting rid of Pochettino and Kane is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. I do wonder if DGC is actually Piskie or Ginge having a laugh. It is fairly entertaining although bloody annoying at the same!!

I wouldn't hate the appointment of Rafa although there's others I'd rather have.

The problem we have right now is our financial restraints regardless of who the manager is. Poch would ideally need to have at least £100m this summer (ideally more tbh) plus the funds of whatever we get from Eriksen, Toby and dead wood to be able to build a side/ squad strong enough to move up a level. That's a lot easier said than done though because without Eriksen and Toby, that's our best player and joint best CB leaving before we can even begin to improve. Not gonna be an enjoyable summer for us in my opinion.

What is Jan's position - isn't he entering the last year of his deal? Like Toby but without the buyout clause?
