Morning all. Bright, but still breezy. No rain is forecast for the day so might get the chainsaw on the go and cut up some more logs for the wood burner. It does still get a bit chilly in the evenings, so a bit of heat is welcome. Enjoy your day whatever you have planned.
Morning all. A clear blue sky and that wind has dropped, so quite a nice day. I have an appointment with the hospital this afternoon to have a bit of minor surgery. An ulcer close to an eye has not cleared itself up, so they are going to do it. A mild sedative has been promised. I could have provided that with a couple of bottles of decent claret, but they didn't think it was a good idea. Have a good day whatever is planned.
Hope all goes smoothly Frenchie,,, In the midst of tests of varying tolerability here! Raining and awful oop north
Morning all from a windy island. I'm off work this week, but due to the weather I haven't felt like venturing out.
Morning all. Cold and blowy, but dry. An interesting experience at the hospital yesterday. The surgeon was very happy with the result, but I cannot see what he has done. Mme redressed it last night and said that he had managed to removed some wrinkles, so that cannot be a bad thing.
Good morning all from a cool and damp Weston-super-Mare! Have a good day I was unable to sleep so I sneaked a peek at 0200 and was then able to nod off.
Morning all. Grey and blowy and not very warm at present. Dressing fell off a few minutes ago, so I am not peering around that which is quite nice.
Perhaps we should have a medical thread as us old un's are always in for repairs, replacements or removals these days. I spent Tuesday night in the lovely new Royal Hospital near Falkirk after having my Gall Bladder removed due to a potentially suspicious polyp. All went well and came home yesterday. Keyhole job so a little sore/tender. Will have to wait to see if said polyp is evil but suspect not as op was precautionary per current practice these days. Cannot fault NHS treatment or staff except for grumpy woman who came round for my breakfast order, all were lovely. You get so many warnings about what might go wrong these days it almost puts you off, but really they are just covering their backs. Memsab being very nice (retired nurse) and hung around the hospital all day in the hope that I would come home that night but I failed to perform a significant pee in time (key indicator apparently) but I then spent the night visiting the loo about 4 times as plumbing started to work. Had my own room, personal tv, comfy bed, would have been happy to stay a few nights, even food was ok. Trust everyone else is well or recovering well.
Good one.. [emoji122] I have just had a 24 hour BP.. That is fine so no extra meds.. 72 hour ecg and echocardiagram to come and then get to see the specialist re my mini stroke.. Waiting to see sorfgch thirsts pitta (speech therapist [emoji6]).. Oh joy! Sent from my G3311 using Tapatalk
They kept taking my BP etc a lot when I was in and on asking if it was ok it was "your heart beat is a little low" (c 52 bpm) I said I know, it's always been like that. Must be fit they say, not really I say. Puzzles most new Dr's I see, I reckon it's wearing out slower and I am ok with that..... I find it odd they take your BP when in a highly stressed situation (hospital) and say it's high, what do you expect? Nurse memsab has taught me some tricks and I check mine monthly and can produce a spreadsheet of my resting BP for the last 3 years. Seems to keep me off the statins....
