I like Slash but couldn't stand Guns N Roses because of that f.ucking annoying Twatxl Rose. Velvet Revolver era is very good and there was a solo thing he did with Ian Astbury from The Cult that was decent too. The recent stuff with Myles Kennedy isn't too shabby although I wasn't much of a fan of Alter Bridge. Did you know that Slash auditioned for Kiss and Poison? True story.
I'm such a crazy old so-and-so. I've just ordered premium tickets for Barbra Streisand at Hyde Park in July. But I'm also seeing Celine Dion at the very same venue just 48 hours earlier. I'm going to have to stay in a nice hotel for three nights. Mad or what?
Last night I went to see Art Garfunkel at the Cliffs Pavilion, Southend. The great man put on a sublime performance comprising of poetry, anecdotes and classic tunes. Artie just oozes class from the first to the last minute. The food beforehand was rubbish, though. Still, I'd give the night 9.5/10. Anyone got any gigs lined up?
Do try and spell the great lady's name correctly old man. I know you being an ex bent copper that you're used to making things up but.......
Saw Guns N Roses at the Olympic Stadium in 2017 - that was one great gig. Slash smashed it. Depeche Mode at the same stadium in the same year were tip top, too.
There's a swingers festival in July, venue to be announced but looks like somewhere in Devon. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
I'm off to see Mark Knopfler at the O2 tonight. Should be decent. Then it's the Eagles at Wembley next month. Anyone got any gigs lined up?
