Again, due it being quiet on the forum tonight. What is your top 10 albums of all time?
See if we can get a top 10 from everyone's selections:

    My Own:

    1. The Seldom Seen Kid - Elbow (Just love this album, this band, Guy Garvey and the whole Elbow thing)
    2. The Joshua Tree - U2 (Passed their best now and perhaps a little smug, but at that time they were simply awesome)
    3. Green - REM (Still get goose pimples when I hear "Orange Crush")
    4. Up - Peter Gabriel (The genius of music)
    5. Grace & Danger - John Martyn (My musical hero, who I met a few times and loved)
    6. Out Of The Blue - E.L.O. (Loved this album and band when I was at school, hard when punk was the main thing)
    7. Dizzy Up The Girl - The Goo Goo Dolls (Never heard of them until "Iris", loved them ever since)
    8. On An Island - David Gilmour (What a legend, what a guitar player, what a total musician, what a songwriter, what a human being)
    9. Voyage - Christy Moore (Love this man to bits)
    10. Fisherman's Blues - The Waterboys (Little known fact that Guy Chambers of Take That and Robbie Williams fame, was once a member of The Waterboys)

Well that was hard, many left out and I'm gutted that I don't have a single Beatles album in my top 10, shows how my life has moved on. Build A Rocket Boys by Elbow is now at number 11 for me, and it's getting closer to the top 10 everyday, their music appears to connect with me at this time in my life, just as E.L.O. did in the late 70's and U2 did in the 80's.
I would ask every grown man to try and listen to "Dear Friends" (Build a Rocket Boys) and "Friend of Ours" (Seldom Seen Kid) by Elbow and not be emotional.

Edit: I don't yet have a Newton Faulkner album in my top 10, but he's getting there and I rate this guy, here's hoping he continues with his musical development, he's a brilliant musician and person.

    Yours?

Orange Crush is still my favourite song from REM, but there are many up there with it, what's yours?

As for The Byrds, much as I hate Bob Dylan, Mr Tambourine Man was/is simply brilliant. I love the bands like Buffalo Springfield, Crosby, Stills and Nash, America and Poco.

Find The River, from AFTP, though most of the catalog is there or thereabouts. :p

Mr. Tambourine Man's my second favourite Byrds one after Mr. Spaceman.

I usually download singles I enjoy the sound of rather than full albums but some that I like are:

Johnny Cash - American Recordings (albums I through to VI)
    Green Day - American Idiot
Hank Williams - The Complete Hank Williams
    Kaiser Chiefs - Employment
Johnny Cash - At San Quentin
Willie Nelson - Red Headed Stranger
    The Clash - London Calling
Elvis Presley - The Ultimate Collection

So something of a mix, you could say!
