So that would suggest that there are far more poor and unemployed white people in London than poor and unemployed black people. So the amount of violent crime being committed by black people is disproportionate to the size of the black population.

There's nobody to blame if you are white and if you say the poverty you have to live in is because of any factor that involves minority groups you are instantly called a racist. Culturally speaking though our dark cousins do seem more keen on stabbing their way out of a situation than their honky equivalents.
The point is, by far the largest proportion of people who live in London are white so it's safe to say that the largest proportion of poor and unemployed people who live in London are also white. So saying that circumstance is the reason that black people are causing a disproportionate amount of knife crime or any other crime doesn't stack up.

I know we dig out our ethnic cousins, often with good reason, but there are parts of the country where all the uncivilised activities are carried out by the local version of scumbags. Most large towns or cities have their rough elements that aren't necessarily of colour but are guilty of the sort of anti-social low-level criminality that gives communities a bad name. Twockers, burglaries, graffiti, drunk/drugged behaviour, VAT dodge ciggies, football violence etc, none of which has anything to do with black people in particular or can be excused because "they stole our jobs and houses". What nobody from The Community ever explains successfully is why black youths think that carrying and using a knife is acceptable. It has to be something cultural and shouldn't be so easily dismissed by the usual rhetoric we get thrown back about slavery, no role models, no youth clubs or white privilege. I'm not suggesting that there are no Neds/Chavs carrying knives but the stabby brigade most certainly come from younger males from minority backgrounds as has been demonstrated repeatedly. Throwing in statistics about knife crime which include domestic violence, intentional murder and the like gives a broader view of how often knives are used for harm but it is mostly used as a smokescreen to deflect away from the increasing trend over the last few years of knife violence perpetrated by young black males particularly in London. Are there poor white drug dealers? Yes. Are poor white males riding scooters? Yes. Do young white males hang round in gangs? Yes. Are poor white males excluded from schools? Yes. Pretty much every indicator used by The Community to explain or excuse poor behaviour of black youths applies to white kids yet honky isn't on the front pages of The Metro every week.
You don't get it, you need to solely focus on London otherwise the stats don't work What's the point in proving that poverty turns people into selfish ****s?
