    None of my Euros riding on any of the three cuddies.

    This is the first 'Cheltenham' I have not spent the previous twelve months spraying money about on ante-post punts on the Gold Cup. The offers from mid March 2018 on this years race were a disgrace:

    Presenting Percy - best price 6/1

    Might Bite - best price 13/2

    Native River - best price 8/1 (?)

    Added to these, in my opinion, skinny prices all bookies were only offering 1/5 the odds the first three for each way bets.

    I still like viewing the week on the box and indeed it is a great party however I now feed my love of 'jumps' racing by visiting Paris in either May (Grand Steeplechase de Paris) or November (Le Week-End International de l'Obstacle) at Auteuil each year. For a similar standard of racing I pay around the same price for getting into the track (including my racecard and other goodies) that I would pay for the racecard at The Festival. There is also the added joys of the 'dives' and the upmarket Brasseries/Bars which I frequent in Paris.
