Coops, was sorry to read that things aren't going so well with your business. Hopefully you'll get through this dodgy period. Starting with a nice coup over the bookies<ok>

Och Dev, you know us Scalies have always been well paid for predicting optimum working frequencies and all that nonsense <laugh>

    Could've been worse, could've been a gun bunny <whistle>

    Cheers BH <ok>

It has been a right **** time but will hopefully get things sorted out in the next few weeks ? If not life goes on.

I will switch my attention to the Glastonbury/festival idea. The only trouble is keeping my head down and working and not going loco with the festival goers.

A wee win on the fitba would be nice but as you know mate theres always one.

Aye it sure does mate. I thought we were untouchable in my line of work, but I'm going to be losing just shy of 200 a month from April 1st as they're cutting all sorts of allowances.Just got to do a Mowbray and take it on the chin. <laugh>

I might have a wee punt on the egg-shaped ball game later. Fancy Scotland to win on the handicap.

You made any progress on that DC? You were just thinking about it last time I was speaking to you.

Should be a tidy wee earner considering the amount of festivals going on in the UK these days.

Alright bud.Still looking into it TBH.Seen a few vans i liked the look of at a decent price and found out how to register myself.

I have mates who run stalls at Glastonbury so might go down this year to investigate it further.

It was for the Mrs to begin with but now my business is looking dodgy i might take it up myself, bite the bullet and go for it this year. The next 3-4 weeks are crucial.

You know what you should look at Coops? Opening a golf driving range. I've always thought that it's an earner. Start up costs against potential earnings are minimal. I mean I pay around the 4 quid a basket mark down here and everytime I look at what I'm forking out for, I just get the feeling that it's a right touch.

Its finding the backing for that.I have some bread put away but not enough for a golf range.

The banks are all ****ers these days and want you to guarantee everything before they will even think about lending you money.

Hope you get it sorted out either way bud. Nothing worse than when everything is up in the air. I know those food stalls rake it in at the festivals but not sure how much the pitch fees are. Some of those stalls are charging £4-5 for a bacon roll FFS.

This offshore contract has been cancelled, this is my last trip. Either need to go back onshore with my current mob at a massively reduced rate or move on to pastures new.

Thats bad news mate.Best of luck whatever you choose.

The pitches are anything from £500-£10000+ depending where you are and what you do.

There is money to be made alright. The Jerk Chicken stand made a killing last year. The grub was top drawer mind you.We were watching them and they had suitcases full of cash flying about.Mind you they had loads of big evil looking ****s who you did not want to mess with.My mate buried £35K under his van and had another mate with a stun gun guarding it 24/7.
