His worst runs are on the soft. Horses often get away with the ground in earlier company just through ability but need ideal conditions when the competition is more fierce. Johnson has said twice that the ground will be fine and twice the horse has stunk. Starting isn't getting any better here!
I may have mentioned this before but I don't know a single English horse racing enthusiast who gives a **** where a horse comes from, who owns it etc. You have winners (and maybe the odd ew) and losers. BVD bred in France, owned by an Irishman, trained by a Brit and ridden by an Irishman. So if he wins it'll be one for GB. Utter bollox. The sponsor of the Prestbury Cup went bust (well sold out) for a reason .
Well done with Beware The Bear fans. I was delighted with Lake View Lad after he was outpaced and stayed on strongly for third. I thought he jumped well and kept on in good style under his big weight. Not bad with 3rd at 25/1.
well,no luck so far for me.one unplaced and two pulled up..but i hope,APPLES JADE will bring a change of fortunes for me in the champion hurdle..i think, she is still not at the maximum of her ability now,so she can take another step forward today.to me,shes a once in a lifetime horse!
Well, is it three times lucky and the legacy of BVD... Or, do the mares take over and fight it out for top lass... I just like Laurina to take the honours but it's not going to be easy and could be a race to savour and remember for a while...!!
