Something doesn't ring true on this, no other reports, no action, surely journalists report? Anything else to support these claims?
Don't know if this has been mentioned but right at the end, 7 minutes in, Poch is blatantly tapping up Prowse
I didn't make it up....lifted it in part from a newspaper report...regrettably can't remember where. However, no steward at SMS had it in his report, so possibly untrue or at least exaggerated. Have to wait and see.
Daily Echo:- Meanwhile, a fan who was at the game in the Kingsland stand reported offensive chanting to the stewards. He said: “About five or ten minute into the game, a guy behind began chanting antisemitic chants about Spurs fans.“I turned around and told him that it’s racist, and he and his friend started giving me stick. “I carried on watching the match and they kept making snide remarks and claiming I was a Tottenham fan.“They began with more chants of a similar content." The fan, who wanted to remain anonymous, said the antisemtic chants made his "blood boil" and he reported the incident to the stewards just before half-time. He added: “I went to the steward and he took me down to see if I could point out the guy, and I gave him their seat numbers.” It was reported in the national media that “the club will be speaking to stewards on duty during the match to establish exactly what happened before deciding the appropriate course of action”. The Daily Echo have approached the club and Kick It Out for their comments. A spokesperson for Southampton FC said: "We have checked our steward reports from after the game and there was no report matching this description submitted."
The original report said the person that complained was a Sunday Times journalist, the Echo said it was a Saints fan, something doesn't add up here.
Very easy way to stir up a quick furore in our reactive social media environment. If it is true, then the steward has not done his or her job correctly. Can I just say, in danger of being lynched, that I find it weird that drunken yobs can so quickly get national media attention just by saying something offensive. Not even original or witty. Where does the line stop? I once past a group of Bournemouth fans singing "I'd rather be a **** than a saint". Pretty foul, but should I have called the newspaper?
Calm down calm down. All this superstition is ridiculous. Everyone take a step back, let someone else declare they will do the thread. I will spent time procrastinating at work and write another one and get told I am too late. This will be debated, I get the go ahead, and we lose 2-0 to the b£&””r Murray. I will wake up and find valery and ward prowse have scored again for 2-1and I get to write the dream match report against twat beard and co. These legal threats have no place here.
It may be fake news but it was one of the headlines on talkSport on Sunday being transmitted to millions of listeners. Not good for our reputation as a friendly family club and therefore I feel the club should go public to either deny or detail what has happened
Just watch a freddie video, and he reckons that the last game we came back from to win was Spurs when Davis got the winner. Is that right, I can't think of another more recent? Funny that its Spurs both times, couldn't pick a nicer club!
