The 70's, was all rock n' roll back at the games then. That's Kevin Arnott bottom right for Sunderland and a young Shaun Elliott centre me thinks.. About 78 that, I would have been there..

He goes to games, and knows his stuff, and is always a good read.

I remember it clearly. Bradford had been promoted and there was a ceremony before the game, loads of people were on the pitch and cheering initially when the stand went up in flames. I remember the reports on Grandstand at the time, the commentators voice just getting more and more anxious and agitated as the fire took hold.

 

In the 70s, there was 70k plus you know.
