That’s the way forward with this, that’s a strong message.

FA/EFL need to follow suit. Docked points are the way forward, fans don’t give a **** about fines to clubs.

He'll be out in 6 weeks. Should be given a mandatory 2 years. That'll stop people doing it. I was previously all for a points deduction. It sounds a good idea for a deterrent but in practice it's too harsh on the other fans, the employees of the club (who could lose their job if a team is relegated as a result), and the players. They will suffer as a result of some idiot who nobody can possibly have any control over.

I agree, but it would stop it.

We’ve seen all that’s wrong with the world this last week, there’s an incident, then a handful of thick as mince morons think it’s ok to follow.

We live in a world now of attention seeking, desperate imbeciles with no mind of their own.

See how they handle everyone in their spectrum being affected by their idiocy, it will stop dead.

This may sound daft but, how do you stop, say a Sunderland fan, grabbing a season ticket for the Town, claiming he has switched sides. I few seasons later, when Newcastle are scrapping for points and are on the verge of relegation, last game of the season, he runs on and punches Harry Kane on the nose? Newcastle are relegated by 1 point.

I just think it should be classed firmly as a criminal matter and a threat of a shockingly harsh sentence should be more of a deterrent than a points deduction. It would for me anyway.

I mean, that would be very easily proven with a very short and small amount of investigation mate, let’s be honest.

The clubs are responsible for safety inside the stadiums mate, whilst I agree it could effect other fans well, it’s has to be a deterrent.

Brum fans yesterday applauded the lad, I mean **** sake he’s ran on and hit someone from behind. And he’s been applauded for it?

I’d be embarrassed and ashamed by that, like many Toon fans where around ‘horsegate’.
