Nah. No contradiction here, Bobby. If lads are fighting then the police that are present should always jump in. If terrorists are being terrorists in another country then our police cant jump in so let the government revoke their citizenships. I'm really struggling with the correlation between the two of them.

FA representative acknowledge the points at the risks of knives due to the increased use in them. Also dismissed the use of fencing but again acknowledge the points. Before he went on to chat about Grealish jumping in the crowd when he scored, he made clear this has to stop, and it sounds like they will be planning on stopping this from happening. Which is fair point, we don't want fencing, we don't want a knife incident, we don't want fans on the pitch, but despite what happened, Grealish jumps in the crowd Which goes on the points i have been making, for crowd behaviour to be enforced, players also need to be doing their bit and setting example, especially if we are as snowflakey as we are these days.
Twat I fooking miss the old days of football, it has got too snowflakey these days. I remember having the debate many years ago, saying it will not be long before they start arresting fans from the crowd for banter. That was followed by 3 people getting arrested for calling Steve Evans 'Fat Scottsh ****er' this is how snowflakey football has become. So those rules sadly have to work both ways, you can't have one set of behaviours for the fans, and another set for the players on the pitch.
Tbf didn't both Drogba and Rooney get punished for swearing in front of the cameras. Off camera, Suarez is a good comparison to the example you gave. He was punished also... thanks to Evra's difficult yet noble and brave efforts
The other thing I think @brb is that what happens on the pitch between players is generally agreed between the playing community to be dealt with within the confines of the game e.g. match officials or the football disciplinary body. It's an unsaid consensus and despite some quite severe cases (I think of Keane attack on Haland or Brown's attack on Giggs, they just don't take it outside the game. You simply can't have that applied to the fans because they're spectators and there is no such consensus available.
Hard to say without seeing his previous but yeah probably, if he's got previous then wouldn't be surprised if he was jailed.
Just for argument sake though, why are players treated differently? The fan who deserves what is coming to him, will inevitably receive a life ban from football grounds, I think that point has already been made clear by Birmingham City FC, and the football governing bodies. Apply to that criminal charges, which will result in a fine and some other penalty applied by the court. Add on top of that, who knows, he could potentially lose his job as a landlord (assumptions). Then look at the rules regarding players fighting or posibilly attempting to injure a player in a malicious tackle, you state it's an unsaid consensus and despite some quite severe cases you highlighted, they don't take it outside the game. That's double standards. I'm not fussed either way, and the supporter will get what is due him via the law courts, but when you see players purposely wind-up the opposition supporters on top of what i've already highlighted, then it's not setting an example. Personally i don't want to see all this snowflakey stuff, but all the rules and convictions seemed to be aimed at supporters with no accountability to those that participate on the pitch.
Think of footballers as part of an internal club brb. Most of the stuff is dealt with in house unless it's really bad. The supporters are not part of this club
