    Are you from off shore?
I know plenty that have been to Barcelona and visited (attended a game) at the Nou Camp as part of the experience.

I agree totally, but 36k to 62k is a massive jump (did you sell out WHL for every home game?), I have no doubt you will fill the new ground for at least half of next season I would not bet on it after that if results don't go well.

Far as I’m aware we did, yeah. Obviously cup games didn’t always get sold out but Prem games at WHL always seemed packed.

As I just said to Comm, Transfermarkt says we’ve averaged 52k this season at Wembley (67k last season), a place we all hate. I don’t see why we won’t hit that 62k mark on a regular basis once we’re finally home.

I am an overseas-living Brit who travels back a few times a year.

Sure and I know plenty that have been to UK and been to Manchester, been on the stadium tour and taken in a game if they could as part of the experiece - just saying I have never heard of anyone who had the urge to visit Wembley Stadium for the same reason.

Don't really understand why clubs like Spurs would have a waiting list for Season tickets? Is there a limit to the percentage of capacity that they can sell as season tickets?

. I got a renewal letter for ST's I have at Old Trafford last week and they claimed they had 53,000 ST holders and a waiting list of 100000. Why don't they just add another 10K ST holders.

I suspect that the ST waiting lists are mostly bollocks - people who once expressed an interest and never get taken off the list.

And to add, not sure on ruling of how many STs you can actually sell. Presume there’s some sort of percentage limit? Not sure though.

Have you ever tried to get out of Wembley. You might put up with it for a cup final or odd England game, but to do it every other week would put even the most hardcore of fans off.

What was the away allocation from a percentage perspective? Nice day out at Wembley.

Probably a bit less than you give, or more depending on the game.

    Fair enough.

I think they’ll have a full stadium for the first few games, maybe even the first season but it’ll be 10%+ empty after that.

They just don’t have that kind of following.

  12. During the 70s, before the introduction of seating, the ground regularly hosted over 70,000 supporters.

I think the highest ever attendance at the old Lane, in those days, was something like 76,000.

Provided that the club gets the price allocation for seats right, and away support is good, there is absolutely no reason why we should not fill the ground every home game.

No idea mate. General rule is 10% I think, unsure if that applied for Wembley though. Attendances were also capped for many games this season at 51k, I think only big six and CL games we were given full allocation, I’d imagine West Ham would’ve had a full allocation too but we’ll be playing them at WHL now all being well.

Yeah the pricing will definitely play a big part. There was already a huge uproar that the club exploited our 1882 movement from european games at WHL and ended up making an “1882 ST package” for the new stadium. They apparently sold them out in the end but not until they had to offer them out which shows there were little demand to be paying something like £2k+ for a season ticket. ****ing disgraceful the club done that actually. I had to pay £200 extra for my season ticket this season which I’m not overly happy with. Not sure what individual match day prices will be.

The pricing will definitely be the biggest factor with regards to attendances, if the club fleeces fans then yeah, we won’t always sell out.

Burnley's record attendance was just shy of 55,000. So what?

  16. It demonstrates that you were speaking bollocks when you claimed that we don’t have the support to fill a 62k seater stadium.

    "That kind of support."

There are millions of Spurs fans all over the world. I don't think there are 60,000 of the kind of Spurs fan who will go to every home game. A lot of them will watch the games on telly or on their computers.

More people used to go to watch football matches as that was how you got to watch football matches.

Will you be getting a season ticket?

Yeah it’s a joke mate. My season ticket this season is £995. Used to be £850 at the Lane.

Club pissed a lot of fans off though when they listed those prices and labelled it the “1882 package”. Spurs fans, mainly 18-30 age range, created an 1882 movement for Europa League games to help generate a great atmosphere when playing sides no one had ever heard of, and it actually worked really well. So for the club to then exploit the whole 1882 terminology and then charge an extortionate price, it was a massive kick in the bollocks from them.

Edit: actually think my ticket was £800 at the Lane
