There are probably far more than that. The thing is nobody's condoning it or defending it whereas you seem to be with supporters. Two wrongs do not make a right. At this moment in time an innocent young man who simply donned a claret and blue shirt to play for his beloved Aston Villa is suffering heinous trauma and is probably seeking comfort in the bosoms of his mammy as we speak. That's not disagreeing with me, that's agreeing with me. I said that if a player hits a fan they should be charged. (I also believe if a fan hits a player they should be charged)
I don't see what the problem is with players fighting amongst themselves or the opposition in sport. You see it all the time in boxing and they never seem to have issues.
I'm not saying two wrongs make a right. However, the police can't enforce the law when it fancies. I think I'm making a very valid point. If this guy walked into the police interview with videos of Dyer/Batty and all other incidents where the police have stood back and said nothing, he could ask the question of why he's been treated differently to other people in the same situation. To be clear, the guy is in the wrong. That's not my argument.
