Their request for a delay until they could launch an appeal was rejected. Not sure how that affects outgoing transfers though? Anybody?...
If all he can see is another few years of pulling the Chavs out of the ****, he’ll go, I reckon. He’s what, 27-28 now. The next contract he signs will be his last at the top level.
I think clubs can still 'sign' players but just not register them to play. Real did it a few years ago when they had a transfer ban. So if Hazard was going to Real, they could potentially sell him and agree a player in return, but that player couldn't be registered for the next two windows.
Ozil, Aubameyang and Lacazette start for Arsenal. Glad to see that we're going for it. Our defence isn't good enough to keep Utd at bay, so we need to score goals. Just remains to be seen whether we can score more than them. Wouldn't be surprised to see us get dicked today, but if we turn up then we could score a a couple ourselves.
Hard one to call. We'll be looking to create more from counter-attack. It's United and Arsenal so I expect it to be an open attacking game. That usually suits us, but Arsenal have a lot of quality up front so who knows what the score will be. I think both defences are suspect tbh.
Utd have the more organised defence so I have to fancy them, if there’s a winner. From our point of view a draw, 3-3 would do nicely.
You murdered us on the counter in the cup at the Emirates. Same thing could happen again the way we've set up. But the trouble is I just don't think we're good enough defensively to sit back and soak up pressure, so we have to go for it. Should make for a good game
All about Matic for me. He's just coming back, first game after injury. He could have a stinker or a great game. He's going to impact the game massively imo.
