Unbelievable nobody noticed that, if the free kick is taken from the correct place it makes it far more difficult to score. Lack of game awareness from our players and incompetence from the referee.

Well it’ll certainly be fun trying to see us sign about 5 or 6 players to slot straight into the XI, especially as two of those will likely be replacing Eriksen and Toby.
Everyone would love that, realistically though that won’t happen. Instead we’re likely set to lose one of the best CBs in Europe for just £25m. In today’s market, £25m gets you Michael Keane. Whilst if Eriksen goes as well, that’s probably a £100m+ rated player that will be leaving for around £60m-£70m considering he’ll have just one year left on his contract. This is all outside of needing to strengthen the CM, RB and LB areas. Plus a backup striker too seeing as Llorente is out of contract in the summer. If we also do indeed fail to get top four this season then well... I just don’t even want to think about that. Fun times.
Yeah, remember when Everton tried to slot half a starting xi into their team and expected immediate results a couple of seasons ago? Or when we signed half a team in 2013 and things went swimmingly for us that season? Anyone expecting a club to sign that many players and integrate them into the team straight away genuinely has no idea what they're talking about.
Exactly. And that’s why this summer is gonna be yet another clusterfuck because of our failure to strengthen last summer/ January.
To be blunt, we only need to sign two players who will go straight into the first team: a central midfielder and a right back, with a third in case Eriksen leaves. While other signings are needed to freshen up the squad, with Llorente and Wanyama needing to be replaced (and another centre back would be a wise investment if Toby leaves) but that's nothing like the overhaul it needed when Ramos' team was discovered to be a hodgepodge of players thrown together with no thought given to their suitability
This is why we will probably stick with our current crop of full backs, 7 or 8 ins and outs seems unlikely, I reckon we`ll sign replacements for Llorente, Toby and Eriksen, a central midfielder and maybe a third choice keeper to replace Vorm. And probably all done on a break even spend.
How many of you guys think Poch should support Chelsea or City? The cheek on him to suggest Levy needs to do something about our flat squad.
Sorry, but how were the likes of GKN and Janssen responsible for our best ever season? Wanyama, as another example, has barely played. There were a few top players that carried us. And no one still to this day wants them gone, and won’t be referring to them as deadwood. Any spurs fan with half a brain will be hoping we can hang on to Toby and Eriksen, for example. But what we have discovered in that time is that players like Davies and Trippier need to be improved upon. We may have just about coped with them as regular starters, but they’ve reached their limit and it’s been glaringly obvious this season. It won’t be long before they’ll be referred to as part of thedeadwood category if they continue to be as ineffective as they’ve been this season. You can add Aurier to that list, too. And even Lamela.
The frightening this is that there are fans out there who see no issues with the squad at all. I must watch a different game to them.
Which will leave us with a mixture of a few new signings (probably replacing good ones we didn’t want to leave like Toby and Eriksen), some squad players we haven’t improved on but could have done with shifting, and some deadwood STILL on the books. Won’t be enough to be seen as a genuine improvement. It’ll be like the days of the leaking bucket several seasons ago.
I've noticed in the last year or so there are a few fans who would be worse than Klopp when it comes to excuses but they just don't get the same media coverage, that's all. I've said it before, half our problem is the fanbase. They lack ambition of a club in the top 4.. they think like a mid table club at best who have just endured years of relegation battles. Still haunted by Alan ****ing sugar and Irving Scholar. We are dealing with billionaires now...not Del boy's...even Poch, who has more knowledge than the rest of us with the workings of our club is getting a bit peed off. We are very flat ..I felt we had reached our heights the season before last tbh. Last season Poch was squeezing it all out of us...this season he's just hearing that farty noise out of the squad a bottle of Fairy liquid makes when it needs binning. Yeah he will still get the odd drop out to clean the cutlery...but really...it's hard work
I'm sure Levy has set up a few accounts on this board otherwise, like you, i can't understand the comments some on here make. I don't expect many players coming in next season but what i do expect is that if Real Madrid come knocking then Poch will leave, taking a few first-teamers (Eriksen, Toby, Son) with him.

Except it won't: as I said elsewhere, we need to sign two guaranteed starters at central midfield and right back, and a third if Eriksen leaves - the former being a position that was an issue when it became obvious that Dembele couldn't perform at his previous levels and the latter being one where we don't have an actual starting player but someone who starts by default even though he's made some costly errors this season That does not leave the team with a mixture of new signings and deadwood, that's adding two/three players to the first team
I think the poor bloke(Poch) has tried that. He's squeezed every last sinue out of us. I'm telling you if he didn't have integrity he would already be at Madrid.
