Batty is injured but agree about Stewart. I haven't seen anything today but feel Nigel Adkins has been deceived by 2 home wins into thinking Henriksen and Irvine is an acceptable midfield two. It isn't in my opinion. 13 goals conceded in last 4 away games and counting.
Yep, agree, they won battle of the subs. Thought we were still in it at 70 odd mins., they make their subs and when they can bring better quality subs on, a £13m player, more effective and better quality than ours, well we all know where that fault lies. Not forgetting the luck to be in off the post twice, although you make your own luck. Oh well, it was good while it lasted. Really feel again for the travelling support when so many made the effort, we heard you loud and proud. Safe journey home to all.
For me, Irvine gives loads of effort and tries hard but he lacks quality further up the pitch. He often gives the ball away near their box.
Turning point in game was at 0-0 when ref denied what looked a clear penalty on Campbell (tripped from behind when one on one with GK). Yet he gave them a less obvious one for their third goal. Still only five points off play-offs though with easier games coming up after Norwich.
They were there to find the killer, when they realised who had been killed they couldn't be bothered.
Normally, a 3-0 defeat would have me raging. How the times have changed that I really couldn't give a **** today. I never thought I'd have apathy towards City results. The season is effectively over, there's nothing to play for. Work on contract renewals, blood a few youngsters and try and work on our away performances.
Bizarrely only 5 points of play offs still! With 30 points still to play for. Unlikely to happen .... but .....
