Am in the middle of the Keto diet mate. High fat, smaller protein and 20g max of carbs a day. Got too fat last year drinking cans and eating too much so tweaked a few things. Dropped 17.5lb since 12th Feb. It’s clearly working but just getting bored to **** of steak, eggs and cheese.
Stick with what works and remember a real man can survive on only the bare ingredients nature provides... Flavour is for girls
I had this last night with some broccoli. Was good http://www.paleopantry.org/lebanese-lamb-stuffed-aubergines/
**** low carb diets you need carbs to complete your workouts . It's not just about physical results lads its about feeling good. Everyone wants results yesterday , but are you going to keep the same diet etc up forever? Consistency is the trick not binge fasting or binge anything ... be the tortoise not the hsre.
I just googled it mate and there’s lots of good sources out there but the premise is to stay under 20g of carbs a day. I use the carb manager app to track macros and you learn quite quickly what foods are a no no. Pork scratchings are encouraged as are nuts, cheese, meat, eggs etc. In terms of beer, a pint of ale is 20g so all your all allowance in one go and a lager is half that at 20g. Wine however is 3-5g so i’ll be a wino on my summer hols. The key with Keto is to get your body into the state of ketosis by depriving of carbs. Your body then raids your fat stores for energy. If you have Netflix watch a documentary called The Magic Pill. That drew me in big time.
On Keto your body uses fat. I still hammer the gym but keto gives me more energy and allows me to run faster and farther. The other by product is it’s given me a whole load of extra mental dexterity I didn’t have before (that’s your cue groot). After the weight drop, I’ll switch to a med meditteranean diet and just keep an eye on carbs. Not touched a chip, slice of Bread etc in nearly a month now and never felt better. Used to get bloated off bread so it’s stopped that altogether.
