We deserved that. Coasted through the first half and should’ve been 4 up, probably came out thinking second half would be the same and completely ****ed it all up. Shocking mentality in this side.
2-1 FT. Fair play to Southampton, as they were dead and buried at half-time and made the right changes to get back into it. Absolutely pathetic from our lot, though. Poor starting selection and awful subs, plus a terrible second half attitude. We've still got to go away to Liverpool with Pochettino in the stands and away to City. We are ****ed.
Made absolutely no sense. Started a bunch of players who aren't sharp, then took off one who was. Nonsense.
1 point from our last 12, which will be 1 point from 15 when we play Liverpool away on 31st March. Relegation form.
He was causing their defence all sorts of problems, as was Dele in the first half. It was inevitable Dele would tire, but Lucas and Kane were working well together. I really don’t get why Lucas isn’t getting any game time.
No MF commanders to prevent the complacent 2nd half play when only 1-0 up. And IMHO too much resting on CL result laurels.
We need miracles this weekend. United and Arsenal to draw? Hopefully. A win for either side is no good for us. City to get beaten by wolves? Unlikely.
We’re in serious, serious trouble, the lack of draws has been bandied around as a stat as if it’s a good thing by some pundits but in reality it smacks of us throwing games away. We’ve lost far too many games this season. Those away games against Liverpool and City have become massive for us now. There were some really promising signs in the first half but Southampton, fair play to them, absolutely ran all over us after the break.
Forget City and Liverpool. We need to worry about Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea. At least one of them will drop points, but we're not getting any.
Southampton's first win in how long? We're losing to relegation candidates. Now, you all know my cure.
