Listening to the pundits on Sky, they all seem to be saying that Pickford should have been red carded for his wipe out of Rondon, who was sure to score. Seems he didn’t even get a yellow? Then he saves the penalty! How can that be right.

Ref might as well have a blue shirt on. Thing is most of the time when a keeper fouls and concedes a pen, isn't it more or less always a goalscoring opportunity? You'd send keepers off every time. Bottom line is Ritchie shouldn't be such a bottler. ****ed up then did his usual tantruming which allowed them to score a second. Dubravka with yet another awful piece of keeping too. Ritchie's been his usual Champ-level gash.

I get that, but he's been poor again today and fell over when they broke after the penalty. He just pisses me off too much. However, Pickford should have been sent off. By the letter of the law that is a red. Players committing accidental fouls that deny a goalscoring chance will be cautioned. Deliberate fouls will still incur a red card. Those include holding, pulling or pushing, not playing the ball, serious foul play, violent conduct or deliberate handball in order to deny a goalscoring opportunity
Not any more they now have the double jeopardy interpretation in the box i.e. if they think the player was attempting to play the ball not a Red (though can be a yellow) just a pen. However it sounds like Pickford just dragged Rondon down in which case still a red plus pen.
I knew as soon as he didn't send pickford off he's save the penalty. That aside Ritchie has had a dreadful game. Terrible performance
He rugby tackled him rondon would definitely have scored otherwise Terrible ref he didn't even look like he was going to award the penalty tbh.
It wasn’t a foul so much as a rugby tackle on Rondon. Pickford having a headrush and no attempt to play the ball, just took him out. When these decisions put you in such dire straits, it’s just not good enough that refs bottle these decisions so blatantly. I hope the club makes a formal complaint about this. The ref may be penalised but it doesn’t help us though.

The ref needs punishing how on earth was that not a red . Regardless we've played ****e and Everton deserved to be ahead imo
He basically doesn't know the rules. Should be banned from PL refereeing. Mind, he's just an extension of the world's worst football association.
I think we'll have a little flurry in the 2nd half, Ritchie will take a number of subsequent corners failing to find a black & white shirt every time and his typical petulance will somehow be responsible for the 3rd we're going to concede. I wonder if Rafa will instruct Ritchie to actually pass to Almiron. We've done the same change that worked so well against West Ham.....
We seem to have lost focus in our last couple of games which could ultimately cost us. We always seem to defer to crawling over the line rather than making it via a more comfortable route i.e. shoot ourselves in the foot
