He won the CL. Sure most clubs would go through managers like dirty socks to get their hands on the CL....just look at City and Chelsea.
I think the reason Di Matteo was sacked was because he was never really in charge. It seemed to me the players were too strong and made the decisions, I remember in one game John Terry making the subs. But it worked because the players were galvanised, playing for themselves, and RDM was happy to accept the situation. The only problem is that if you're only manager by default when the club are successful, you won't be considered a big loss when the club is struggling. So nobody really kicked up a fuss when he was sacked.
Thank God that has changed at Chelsea. Otherwise Conte might get sacked, or players might refuse to get substituted.
hilippe Coutinho's torrid time at Barcelona continues to baffle and frustrate in equal measure, with even his own teammates fretting at the Brazilian's patchy form. Coutinho has netted 18 goals in 60 games since swapping Liverpool for the Nou Camp in 2018, but his performances haven't lived up to the expectations generated by inRead invented by Teads Despite the Brazilian's struggles, Barca have thrived both domestically and in Europe. They lead La Liga by seven points from Atletico Madrid - and crucially lead rivals Real Madrid by a massive 12 points - and face Lyon in the Champions League last-16 next week. But all isn't well in the Barca camp. During a first-team training session on Friday defender Gerard Pique vocalised his displeasure with his teammate's apparent lack off focus. his time at Anfield.
it must be a slow day if one player telling a lazy arse to move himself makes the news. coutinho has learned that Barca are not a club, not a team, not a group. it's a machine that chews you up.
Just showed replay of the penalty in Brighton palace. Done it from directly behind the ref and he’s behind a palace player so can’t see anything. Total guess work if it was a pen or not. Seemed 50/50, Townsend was half going down before he made contact
this is one of my problems with VAR as it is perfectly possible that depending on who is the VAR official at a match that in the same circumstances that either decision could be overturned.
A lot of Coutinho's goals have been in cups against sub-#nomarks Even in their #fakeleague he's only averaged a goal every 230 minutes played
Shouldn’t forget that OGS has inherited a good and expensive squad. Are they simply performing at a level they are expected to be at?
