I despise violence in all forms but when it's used against my own Country, how should I respond?

The usual oirish suspects banging on about some minor "victory" over the British army. Laughable. We have nuclear weapons. If someone like me got in power the population of Oirland would very soon consist of cockroaches and mutant rats.

With respect irish although your comments were distatsteful to me and although i don't particulary care for that sort of talk on here (or anywhere) in your defence you have not been preaching to me for two days about how bad those Israelis are, like Jack has.

You may have been at the wum but I just think certain things are better left in the past as I said earlier.

you dont have to like violence to use it

isnt that the line for defense budgets, 'we will train more killers/have bigger weapons to 'prevent' wars'

bottom line is the whole 'terror' thing or 'extremism' depends on a 'point of view' and who you are/side you are on. sometimes these decisions are made for you.

The type of person who joins the likes of the SAS are generally violent/thrill seekers. I read something by an SAS guy one time and he said that if he was born in Ireland he would more than likely have joined the IRA. He just liked the buzz of that sort of thing. By all accounts the three Scottish lads who were executed in Ligoniel in the early 70s by the IRA were actully killed by a triggerman who was just out of the SAS.

    And?

Please don't be a hypocrite and glorify the killing of a man.

That's a possibility, doubtless some IRA men would have gained a highish rank in the Army too had things turned out differently.

I did hear about an ex SAS man who was a sniper for the IRA in the early 70s.

Totally different dev. The gunning down of 9 unarmed activists is imcomparable with the fate of nairac because 1) he was a hostile infiltrator and 2) the people had a very real fear that the information he could potentially provide would endanger their own lives.
