Obviously your refering to me but I'm no racist I just tell things like they are. Feel free to ignore me.
The internet is big enough for the bigots to discuss crap like that elsewhere. This is a football site, of which we are guests. We have our own Hull City forum which should be used for discussing the mighty Tigers, although the odd bit of light relief (Corrie OAPs etc) is fine. Politics and Religion really have no place here and should be banned. Like I said, we're guests here, there's no divine right to post whatever you want, and if you were a guest in someones house and started spouting some of the frankly offensive crap we've seen in the last day or so, you'd quite rightly be shown the door. Being able to hide like a coward behind an anonymous internet avatar doesn't give anyone the right to post whatever offensive crap they feel like.
if you go into your control panel on here you can ignore users, so if you dont like people's post just ignore them and they w9ont appear on your screen
Your entitled to your opinion but I think calling someone a "coward behind an anonymous internet avatar" is pretty offensive but because your a soft liberal do gooder I suppose it's okay.
Mainly football, I like this forum but unlike all the other City ones it isn't full of people posting rubbish and having stupidly pointless discussions. There are so many forums if you want to discuss other things, let make this a good Hull City forum.
I don't see the problem in having off topic discussions. People complain like they're forced to read every post and thread. "Multiculturalism has failed" is clearly not a football related topic so don't open it if you only want to discuss football. I think the key to having a good community is having a range of topics, that's what he had on HCM before the moderators went batshit crazy.
There's also a clearly marked off topic forum too. However, the majority aren't bothered about off topic on the Hull City forum, we just don't want racist / political / religious ****e on here. It maybe fairly relaxed here, but there still has to be rules of sorts. It's not a case of not opening threads or ignoring people, I've done both of those, its a case of if I come to this forum, its to view City stuff, or slightly humorous stuff / silly discussions, its not to debate crap like immigration with idiots. Let them post that crap on their own websites, or in the general forum, not on here.
Dean24 doesn't do OFFENSIVE, after all!!! "Listen cockroach, Ash could have decided to stay and a testimonial would have been nailed on, What I was referring to was all the past posts on various sites about players not wanting to play for PB, And if you want to exchange unpleasantries feel free, I'll give you plenty you ****ing dick." "Listen ballbag you don't really know **** all about what Ashbee really wants only he does, So get ****ed." "This arseholes first ever reply to me was to say it was a "stupid post" and that I am "deluded" I can accept differing opinions to mine all day long but if some knob jockey wants to start dishing out abuse he's gonna get some back. He started it therefore if he would be big enough to appologise we can perhaps start again, I'm not that difficult to get along with. " "If Strovolopodus slept with a dog he'd wake up with scratches on his back and a sore ring"
I'd prefer this to be about Hull city only, there are other forums for off topic and other teams where we can all talk about those, i'd also like topics to be kept on topic with a bit of modding
I'd like to see something between Hull City Online which is administered by the Gestapo and City Independent which is quite often flooded with political issues and is quite often used as a propaganda vehicle. Off-topic is fine so long as it doen't flood the main raison d'etre which is Hull City and Football.
I think other topics should be allowed, it makes for a more interesting baord IMO, I believe everyone has the right to their own beliefs. If there is a thread that I dont want to read then I simply dont open it. Very much the same as if there is a programme on the television I find offensive, rubbish, or any reason I dont want to watch, I simply turn it off/over to something I want to watch. I am not naive enough to believe that if its something I disagree about, then everyone should disagree with it. That would make the world a very boring place indeed. If its Football only then i wil sadly leave.
