What if they release their greatest hits? They could start with a chorus of "We're racist and that's the way we like it".
Yet it separates Scholes from Hoddle. It validates Scholes’ talent and he has a phenomenal legacy. Hoddle won a couple of bits, was undoubtedly talented but not in Scholes’ league, sorry.
No it doesn’t. Scholes was fortunate enough to play in the best team of its era. And I’ve no doubt would be the first to admit that he wouldn’t have won anything without his teammates around him. Scholes, as good as he was, was not in Hoddle’s league as far as talent goes.
I always think if you're going to bring winner's medals into this, then it's not about how many you've won, but how much your impact was in winning them. Otherwise you're on a hiding to nothing when George Best gets brought up
This is just you stating your opinion as fact, as usual. I agree on the bit that Scholes played in a better team, it was a huge benefit to him having Roy Keane (who was even better) alongside him. Still a better player than Hoddle and absolutely pisses on Gazza, who it's laughable to put in the same sentence.
He was the best player in that team, sorry, your logic doesn’t mean ****. Hoddle has nowt to show for his talent really, whereas Scholes orchestrated his way to a haul of silver that Jack Sparrow would be proud of.
And your Manc mate isn’t?? We’ll strongly agree to disagree. Gazza, had he not decided to be a piss artist, could have been one of the all time greats. The most naturally gifted English player I’ve ever seen. Hoddle too was a phenomenal talent. IMO, ( happy now!). Scholes is not in the same league talent wise.
The most pathetic thing about Mourinho for me is that he couldn't even avoid his own 'third season meltdown' cliche. He went and did it anyway, the sad ****. As many correctly predicted. A dreadful indictment on someone who has clearly become a sad and bitter man at heart.
You can ‘assure’ me all you like, even Hoddle says Scholes is the best player he’s ever managed. Trophies mean a lot in this game I’m afraid. Zidane said he was the best midfielder, Swimming Trunks thinks he wasn’t as good as Glenn Hoddle, Who managed to duck practically every trophy he ever ‘competed’ for.
Maybe he did. That doesn’t mean Scholes is the better player. Again, what he won has nothing to do with his talent. We’re never going to agree. I saw both of them play in their prime and imo Hoddle was by far the more naturally gifted.
For raw talent, Gazza, wins this hands down. He's arguably the most talented footballer this country has ever produced. His mental health and drinking issues ****ed it for him being regarded as one of the all time greats.
