Good signing but I tend to take more pride in the ones coming through the academy or the ones that start mediocre but then come good (e.g. Bednarek and PEH).

 

But we're talking about 'record signings', so he kinda sits top for me.

 

Doesn't say a lot of Dier is much better.

Pochettino says he cried when he left Saints and still loved the club....not enough to let us win obviously He has said this before and congratulated us on staying up last season, so I don't doubt he means it.

 

Winks ain’t top six calibre mate. Our fans are just too sentimental towards him because he’s from the academy. Just a side pass merchant.

Dier on the other hand, one of our top five players, we’ve badly missed him while he was out, problem for him though is that he doesn’t replicate his Spurs form for England and that’s where he gets his bad rep with outside fans.

I am happier playing against Dier than Winks. A little stronger defensively but far less effective offensively in my humble opinion
