2-3 wins will see us safe as I can't see any of the bottom 3-4 winning 7 of the last 11 games and us losing nearly every one. I was hoping the Fakes would go but after that lucky late winner at Ipswich I see them just surviving. I think they have Bolton next so someone will drop points
I wish. On current performances and the teams we still have to play I am struggling to see where we will get our next away point. Home form will be critical as teams at the bottom usually crank into gear and start getting unlikely wins in the run in. I'm not worried about Ipswich and Bolton but the remainder are a few good wins away from us.
Yes indeed. It has for me (twice now in the last two years) but unless I have magical powers it does sweet FA for others I care for!! You will recall that at the start of the season I stated my belief that Maclaren is not the man for us. We've had some good times but looked at over the whole season, good bits and bad, I remain to be persuaded.
Yeah, there was a good long period from September to the beginning of January, when the dual impact of 2 / 3 tough games a week and missing key players kicked in. I'm hopeful now that with an easier schedule and in particular Cameron back to better protect our dodgy back 4, we can get back to that level. Angel's return would be a big plus too. If we can get back to that end of 2018 level for this last quarter of the season Ill be happy enough with McClaren.
There are worse teams than QPR. We will stay up. A week without a midweek fixture is probably a relief so I am expecting a lose game against Stoke with either a draw or a win for us. As said in earlier post, players returning from injury will help - however is Cameron allowed to play against Stoke under terms on his loan deal?
