So change the pairings. Tell me which are wrong. I don't see how things change so much that suddenly their squad dominates ours.
Well in theory build a match day squad of 18 and see. That way not comparing one v another. Alison TAA gomez vvd robbo fabinho pogba hererra salah mane firm de gea baily dalot gini aoc martial rashford

Milner over Dalot, but either way I don't see any way Man Utd come out on top despite their "better" squad
Mata is like Ozil. Massive luxury player who you need a few players around to do all the hard work to carry
Didn't they end up with a kid on who is their youngest ever CL player? Plus Young at 45 skews those figures
The idea that our squad is much stronger than theirs is fanciful. In the last 12 matches they have won 7 points more than us. Now people keep saying they have had easy matches. Yes, for the first few may be. But over 12 matches and still a flash in the pan and the feel good factor? To me they are now getting more of their full squad.
What's so special about the last 12 games that it demonstrates a better squad than the team that made last season's CL final and are title challengers this season? Are you saying Man Utd without Mourinho would have won the CL last season and already had the PL in the bag this season?
What I am saying is that while our first 11 may be stronger as shown by our league position, the rest of the squad is not as good. Take the FA and League Cups Klopp rested a few key players and lo and behold we got kicked out. With a full strength side we got beaten by PSG. With a hugely depleted side the mancs beat them 3-1. Of course the circumstances are different but is anyone seriously proposing that had we had half of our first 11 out and being forced to use some academy players we would have beaten PSG?
You could argue that Man Utd are bound to have better strength in depth if only because of the scatter gun nature of their signings post Fergie -Moyes exempted since he had 100% success rate in effect.
A stronger Man Utd side was easily beaten 0-2 at home by PSG. Yesterday was PSG scoring 2 own goals and a dodgy penalty. Nothing to do with having an amazing squad. Or did Solskjaer pick the wrong side at home? And for the start of the game yesterday? Out of Solskjaer's 11 PL games, we have played 5 of the same fixtures and matched every one of their results.
For.me.. gk. alisson and degea. the pundit would probably bullshit based on degea being about for years but for me it's equal. rb. utd have wingers playing rb and they've aged. taa is developing so I'd want our player based on age alone but today? it might go either way. lb. Shaw is a worker but for me his one fatal flaw is he is easy to pull out of position. however Robertson isn't perfect and I think lfc fans have started to exaggerate what he can do. both ruling all day. rcb. ours are nothing special unless it's gomez and has coming in. utd have 2 or 3 options and all are issues of one type.or another. lcb. vvd all day every day and every pundit would agree. no 6. utd play 2 him it ok.. matic v fabinho. most pundits imo would say matic here. has legs are going though.. fabinho has none. so Herrera v windy.. sorry but for me windy is an intensely flawed proposition. has a ball hog and vanishes in away games. has to be Herrera. then Milner or whoever for us v Pogba. its obvious pogba is the better player Mane v martial... could fight that one out all day. Martial hasn't done it over 3 years but he's very very good Frimino v rashford... I think lads are very dismissive of rashford here. This lad is also a top talent, no disrespect to firmino though. lads like him a lot and what he does but this is like comparing dirk kuyt and torres nearly. (well... I'll defend kuyt a lot even though he was slow as anything) Then salah v lingard.. lingard works hard but salah is salah So.. it will be subjective. Some are obvious for me some are not. But its close and utd finished 2nd last year and we might do the same this year even if we all hope we get 1st. Mata is slow, thats the issue. He's a lovely player but hes not david silva. he doesn't do the work so thats why he's not really getting considered. He's like ozil.. would you put ozil in an 18 man squad if you've already got very good players.
