You can’t have all hand balls in the box leading to a penalty. Attacking players will start scooping the ball into defenders’ hands.
I really can’t see the problem in the majority of cases. Many decisions are plain black or white. VAR would just help clear up any doubt. Offside, ball crossed the line, in or out of the area, would all be sorted out
Because you don't go to games you don't get it...we like to be moany bastards...we pay for the privelage. You plastic clapper armchair fans just enjoy watching replays on your 62" inch TVs...this game belongs to us because we freeze our nuts off whilst you've got the central heating on...it's not your game...**** off
The worst VAR decision in the CL was against Real Madrid the night before - in the build up to a goal the ball clearly went off the pitch, they showed countless replays from different angles and speeds, and the whole of the ball was over the line and you could actually that, yet the VAR decision was that it was in playing area and goal stood. Poor decision which cost RM exit. watching the match in a bar in Malaga with all the locals cheering for Ajax was funny as **** and a great night had by all.
Imho all handballs (accidental and deliberate) should result in free kicks or penalties. No judgement call from officials needed. The same is true for offsides...bollocks to the phases of play. If a player is offside they are offside. Again, no judgement call needed. If things stay as they are then inconsistent decisions will be made. Goal line technology works really well cos it is simply a fact. Making handballs and offsides simply facts will stop the incessant whining of players and mangers and the contrived controversies from pundits and phone in shows desperate to fill air time.
In fairness it would, but it would probably had Xhaka sent off after 15 minutes for his wreckless tackle on Kane which the ref missed.
Why are people getting upset that Little Ollie’s Army scraped through, last night? I’d much rather play them than PSG.
Didn’t fancy a trip to Paris in springtime then mate? Think of all those elegant femmes fatales you could have charmed with your ukulele technique.
Was in favour of Var until the Spurs v Rochdale fa cup replay last February. The decisions using Var that night were a joke. We had a goal ruled out for Llorente pulling a defenders shirt even though they could see that Llorente was fouled first. We were then awarded a free kick that was changed to a penalty. Son scored the penalty but it was ruled out cos he had a stuttering run up and he was booked. Those of us there had no idea what all the delays were for as we not told when VAR was being used. It was a ****ty experience to be at the match to be honest.
